Hey guys, I know this isn't as hot as the $19.99 Costco in-store deal for the same package, but I went this route because there's no Costco within an hour from me, and I don't pay tax at at Amazon!
Under the big green text that says "In Stock", click on the "XX new from $XX.XX" link. The link may change by the time you click on it, for me it read "20 new from $25.11".
Scroll down past the "Featured Merchants" to the "New" section, and the first link should be an option to buy the Power Pack for $30.94 including FSSS.
Good enough for me. Every time they go on sale at the Costco in my area they're always out. If people want the 8-AA only they can get a better deal here.

I grabbed two set last time at Costco. but Amazon deals are great too.
Only 2000 mA? I like the idea of having long-lasting AA's for my camera flashes, but I'm using 2350 mA batteries right now and don't run out of power even after extensive use. I just read that Sanyo now has 2700 mA batteries so I think I'll hold out for those. Almost had me, OP! Green for you.

Yet another person that doesn't know of the Eneloop. These are not your standard rechargeable. They will outperform those higher MAH cells.

yeah, they make other nimh look sick. the fact they wont be dead the next time you go to use them is more than worth it even if they didnt have more power.

Can these batteries be used to power just regular devices such as an optical mouse or a TI calculator? Sorry I dont know anything about NiMH batteries... I thought they were just used to power high powered devices like digital cameras, and I dont know if my TI calculator would fry from a battery overload or something...

I use them in my wireless mouse and they last a good while, as long as the mouse is off when the computer is off. I put the date I charge up my batteries on the case. I used some that I charged on July 11th today and tested them before I used them. They still had an 80 percent charge.
I use Eneloops and Sony, Duracell and Rayovac precharged, they all seem to work about the same to me.
I've never used the spacers before. Do they really work as a replacement for C & D size batteries? How do the Eneloops last in comparison to an actual D size battery?

I use 4 AAs in D adapters in a Grundig 350 radio. Never compared how long they last to 4 D batteries, but since I have a lot of Eneloop and other brands of low discharge AAs I don't worry about it.

I almost never have to recharge mine (they are sitting in my Speedlite 430EX II). I'm really surprised at how well they hold the charge. I may be wrong, but they seem to last as name brand non rechargeables.

Exactly. My wife could care less about anything tech related... She tells me this all the time when I mentioned something tech related (as t brings me joy so I always feel the need to talk about it)...
...But when we took a San Francisco vacation, she said out of the blue "wow these batteries last forever" when taking pictures. That's says alot coming from even her.

It's as low as $30.76 from another merchant now, deal's still good. Make sure you scroll past the "Featured Merchants".
Anywhere I can get the C & D adapaters by themselves? I scored a bunch of those white-top duracells when target had them marked down, but they were only AA and AAA. Would love to use these as C & D size.

Can't you harness your pedaling energy to power those somehow?
