The popular Acer AS1410 breaks away from the netbook limitations with a much faster Intel SU3500 processor & 4GB memory capacity. Has the Intel Graphics Accelerator 4500MHD which breaks the log-jam in Atom-based machines with GMA950 and the GMA500 graphics. The six hour 6-cell removable battery fits completely within the framework. It does not hang out the back or the bottom like most 6-cell netbooks. With Vista Home Premium that qualifies for Acer's free Win 7 upgrade.

paolobeltran said:Great deal OP, but you say that it's only one more week till the 1810T and 1810TZ come out? How do you know this?Nobody will say for sure. But Acer posted the 1810T and the 1810TX on their Acer USA website a couple weeks ago. Use the link in the original posting.
The 1810T has been selling worldwide for 2 months, but not in the US. BTW. So they are certainly well into production.

paolobeltran said:Good call OP, looks like it will be released here in the U.S. on Oct. 22. $549. Hopefully there will be some deals! Link to New Acer 1810T
Great Link, BTW
J&R usually discounts at least 5% even on new items. Bing will still work for 5% more. Paypal deal will still likely be available for $10.
Would bring a $550 Acer down to $490 delivered.
The AS1810T has the Intel SU7300 CPU at $599 The AS1810TZ has the SU4100 at $549 Probably different ram and hard drives too.
