7-Night NCL Mexican Riviera cruise from $199 7 day cruise: Los Angeles, California; Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; Mazatlan, Mexico; Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; Los Angeles, California
[Travelocity.com] There a few dates to choose from, and most of the dates include on board credit!
I've been on NCL cruise before, and if I can remember correctly they serve lobster tail for dinner during one of the nights...and you can order an unlimited number of plates!

The $100 on board credit doesn't apply to the $199 room rates. At $199, you get $15 room credit (only on a few cruises). With a slightly better room (@$249) you can get $50 on board credit which appears to be the sweet spot in pricing. The $100 on board credit only applies to (mini) suites which start at $599 and go up from there.
Red given because the details of the post were misleading and I had to do OP's homework to find out what the deal actually was.
Green given for effort.

Why create a new thread? Slightly lower rates than the original NCL thread, but rates have been fluctuating up and down.
Actually, for a 6 night cruise, it looks like you would get $25 on board credit, from what I see. And, depending on which plan you use (most of which go to the end of October only), you can get up to $300 in credit for a suite.
Note, credit is per STATEROOM, not per person.

I will be in Wisconsin the entire month of my vacation, does the ship take any stops there? Thank you for the help.

Actually I think it would be a cool cruise to leave from Duluth/Superior go through the Great Lakes and down the East coast.head West through Panama Canal, and head up west coast, end up in CA.
Travelocity is not discounting the cruise rate at all.. you can get this same deal at a number of places online..
If you want to get the same cabin/sailing use one of the sites that discount cruises (ie dip into their commisions and give you a discount) One example bestpricecruises.com - I verfied the Oct 24th sailing was available for cheaper then the Travelocity price and included $75 in room credit. For this particular cruise because the fare is so low the discount (2.5%) does not really make much of a difference when you factor in the one time $5.95 membership fee that bestpricecrusies charges.
bestpricecrusies.com pricing: Passenger Fare Taxes/Fees Total #1) $195.89 $64.08 $259.97 USD #2) $195.89 $64.08 $259.97 USD Subtotal: $391.78 $128.16 $519.94 USD As a club member, we don't charge you until you buy! This is similar to national discount clubs that allow you to browse their prices first. Membership cost is now a requirement of certain cruise lines to show such pricing online.
Membership Transaction Fee: $5.95 USD Grand Total:
If I'm not mistaken, October and November tend to be the rainy season around several areas, and still within hurricane season too though there hasn't been much activity in a month. Cabo is almost always dry so no problem there. February is the best time of year for Cabo, though I was just there in mid-May and it was pretty nice too.
Those who made the reservation from last week's deal, the price for most of the categories fell down by $50 per person this week. Did any one try calling ncl or travel agent to see if they will give an on ship credit or an upgrade? I called my travel agent today and they will be getting back to me tomorrow.

Your not going to get an adjustment for a cruise that is less than 60 days out or the final payment has been made.

You might want to map that out first. It's a lonnnnng trip. Close to the same distance as circumnavigating (relatively).

Besides that, the vast majority of mass market cruise ships cannot make that trip-- they cant fit through the St Lawrence seaway. I don't think ANY of the major US operators have ships small enough to go into the great lakes: I could be wrong, but the smallest boat I can think of offhand from a major operator is the small (<500 passenger) boats from Princess Cruises, and even those are too big by a bit.
It would be a fun trip if you had the time, but it would involve a pretty small boat from a boutique cruise line, and it definitely wouldnt cost $199

I have never been on a cruise before so I had some basic questions, like how much do you pay for kids etc. So I gave them a call and here is the information I got that might be useful to somebody.
Oceanview rooms were $279/per person. Their website said $249. 279 x 2 = $558 2 kids, ages 3 and 6. 199 x 2 = $398 Various taxes and fees. 64 x 4 = $256 Total: $1,212
Insurance is $25/person if you want it.
I am beginning to think that Oceanview room may not be as good a deal as I originally thought. The $50 onboard credit is per room and not per person. On a boat, we may not care all that much about the view.
If you need Internet access, I know I will, they do provide it, but it is expensive. See http://www.ncl.com/nclweb/cruiser/cmsPages.html?pageId=InternetCafe

I actually did that cruise back in the early 80's...... But I was in the U.S. Navy at the time.

Best bet on interwebs access is to hit up a internet cafe when you are in the ports. They are routinely available. Net access is always expensive on these cruise ships.
I would not bother with "ocean view". It's typically a porthole and you are never in the room. Use the money on something else.
Dang, killer deal! Too bad hubby can't get a week off. I'd go as a girl trip, but then no one to watch the kids. I have plenty of FF tickets to burn, too.

Good deal, thanks.
Send hubby over to the Fatwallet Finance forums, where everyone has 3 months vacation a year and earns $150k. Maybe he can get a good referral
