Model VOJ320F1A. This is a very well reviewed set. Its already been replaced with a new model on Target's website so I can't link you to it, but you can see the details of it here: LINKY

Target DCPI is 008-09-1433.

If you can find the display at your local store (which gets an additional 30% off) it works out to $315. Even if its been on all day long in the store the set still has plenty of life left since its rated for 50,000hrs to half brightness. I am using mine for a computer monitor and it works great. Just be sure to use the "auto reset" in the setup menu and your fonts will display razor sharp.

At 32" better off with cheaper 720p model. Naked eye won't tell the difference. Not a bad price if you are looking for that model tho.

You got a cheaper model in mind...this is a great price even for a 32" 720p TV IMHO.

Try ASIN B001GKK14I in the target inventory checker at http://services.rivernorthdesign.com/target/ - with the DCPI I get item not found, at least with the ASIN I get a pic of the tv, but nothing found locally for me. Bummer.

I was at target yesterday (California)they told me they will NOT do the 30% OFF on display model. Even told the guy to call the department manager and ask. big fat NO. I left.

Naked eye won't tell the difference from a good distance, but 32" is often times used as a monitor, or as a bedroom TV where you are much closer to the TV.

So I think 1080P will make a difference in those scenarios.

Nice post OP

Nice find OP.

And yeah, I've used a 32'' 720P Vizio for a couple of years and it has been really good. I'd like to upgrade to get more screen. My other monitors are 1080p so I really miss the extra resolution when using that Vizio.

Thanks. I've grown weary of rushing out to Target to try to snap up FW deals that are never there. You saved me a trip... no item found in my area. Thanks anyway OP.

For regular HD programming on such a small set you wouldnt notice the difference between a good 720p set and one displaying at 1080p, however if you also use the set for a computer monitor then the 1080p difference will be very noticable as the fonts and other items will display smaller (1920x1080), meaning you can fit more stuff on your desktop.

Also, regardless of 720 or 1080, this tv has a very good picture. Flesh tones are very consistent, which I have noticed is not always the case on some other brands of sets in this panel size. If you search the 'net there are quite a few pretty glowing reviews of this model that say its competent to take on the "big" league players like Panny and Sony.

Also, I wouldnt go by the target inventory locators on this one. My store showed none, yet when I went there they had the display and 4 others still new in the box. Its worth checking directly in-store if you have one near by.

Happy hunting!

It's been up for this price since Friday in the super target @frisco texas and I saw a couple on then still left yesterday.

Thanks, but expect these for about $299 on
black friday sales.

The Panasonic for $537 was at 37" and a far better TV (also with 1080). This is average.

I don't bother either. Thanks for the link. I have scored several great deals at Target, but my targets either never have the sale on, or are already sold out and have been to a number of different targets.

Here: Cheaper 720p, $330 after CB.

I was talking about the $315 price and if you look closely the deal you posted for the TV for $330 is based on my deal of $308 from yesterday.

Not if it is for a 1080p with 120hz

Not a product review, my friend. Just pointing out a very average deal on a smallish size, BROWN tv. If you are going to use as a brown monitor, then by all means, yes grab this 1080p.

I also agree with the notion that we will see 32" for under $300 in November.

Geez, why does someone always have to threadcrap just like Supraturbo here. A 32" tv/monitor is exactly that --- 32". Its not smallish in size; its 32". If you want a larger one then this deal is not for you. Apparently some people have size limitations on their desk or in their room because they still make plenty of 32" sets. And 32" is plenty big enough to use for a computer monitor. Heck, most people only sit 3 or so feet away when its on a desk.

They call the color java but it looks pretty much black to me, just not that glossy shinny black that everyone now seems to go crazy for <rolling eyes>. To me glossly trim around a display is distracting and filled with reflections unless you are in a room without lights or windows.

As for black Friday deals, there may be a few but they are mostly loss leaders so only a few of whatever might be offered will actually be available per store. Feel free to wait. For the rest of you, I hope you find one of these especially for the $315 price, and that once you hook it up you agree its a pretty darn good performer.

RE:

And perfect size for the bathroom.

Hawthorne, CA has 3 left at $450, Torrance, CA has 4 left at $450, Inglewood, CA has 7 left at $450. The $315 is only on the display and the stores won't sell the display till its the last one, good luck on that one.

don't they sell these in costco for $389?

manuvns said: don't they sell these in costco for $389?

Yep, they were actually on sale at Target a couple of weeks ago before they went on clearance for $399. Just because it's on clearance doesn't make it a good deal. The 315 is a good deal, but I'm heistant to buy demo - just me though. If $315 new, that would be deal to me.

I got this from Sears awhile ago for $400 from Sears a month ago. Not exactly sure why this would be hot.

Can I please borrow your time machine?

It doesn't show in the online inventory but I found one in the Oakridge Mall in San Jose. I even checked at the store in the price checkers and it said they didn't have any, just after I saw one in electronics.

It's $450, 15% discount in clearance. If it can last until it's 50%, I don't even know if electronics can go that low, then it's mine.

everytime i try to use that Target inventory checker it says "Unable to locate DPCI"

anybody else get that?

Slimeyface said: everytime i try to use that Target inventory checker it says "Unable to locate DPCI"

On the Target link (zulu's post), it says they are having issues with their system. On the rivernorthdesign link (sledhed's), the TV shows up, but I see no locations listed underneath. May be some issue, or there might be a problem since it's a clearance item.

I want a 32" but will wait for the black friday
sales to get a nice one for around $275-299.

Retailers will be desperate this holiday
season slashing prices....their fearful
sales will be even slower than last Xmas.

i saw a display model of the same tv for $250 at WalMart, worth looking there too

On the contrary...last year I got lots of good
deals and never left the warm confines of my
computer desk....and the deals were delivered
right to my door.

We have a local closeout store that has a vizio 42" lcd 120 hz for $499. Whats funny is I told them about monoprice and they now have cheap hdmi cables and cheap wallmounts.
