Ghosts, goblins and ghouls are getting ready for their annual romp through our yards and neighborhoods! Halloween is only about 2 weeks away. Anything we want to have in time for this year's spooky festivities, we'll need to order soon. If you didn't put up any decorations at the first of October or need a final accessory for that perfect Halloween costume you made, there's still time!
Post your scary Halloween deals here, and if you see something in the forums that fits, post a link for it here too!
Oh, and be sure to stop by the Halloween Discussion thread, and weigh in on your favorite frugal Halloween traditions!
I'll get the ghost going with a couple here:
Kohl's Deal of the Day for October 15, 2009: Take and extra 20% off their entire stock of costumes for kids! Use coupon code TREAT20 to get that treat of a discount.
Anybody know where to find scary music for cheap? I found tons of sound effects and kids songs, but I'm looking for scary movie themes and stuff like that. Most end up being about $10. I'm looking for something preferably under $5.
EDIT: I may have solved my own problem...
halloweenradio.net has a surprisingly good internet radio station, and it's free.
Just ran across this book of creepy tales: The Curse of the Campfire Weenies and Other Warped and Creepy Tales by David Lubar. Not something I'm familiar with, but it sounds like a tasty addition for Halloween spookiness. It's currently on sale for $3.98 + $3.25 shipping at BookCloseouts.com. Campfire Weenies There were only 100 copies available wen I checked, so if they run out, Amazon also has it for $5.99 + shipping. Weenies at Amazon
Excellent Amazon reviews, and even a few folks who think it's too creepy... for anyone, let alone the 9-12 year olds it's aimed at! (Yay!)
