watch the size on the cs2.. I need to buy a new tv stand just to fit the width of a cs1 which is already more than component width.
The CS2 is 21.25" wide and 7.75" high. Unless you have adjustable shelves on your stand the height of the cs2 is probably a problem and if you want to center it on a shelf then you probably won't fit any components/dvd players on that shelf. Normal component width is a little under 18" so you'd need a shelf that's about 60" wide to put components on the sides. Depending on the strength of your stand's shelves you could try the trick of offcentering the TV to the left or right on the top shelf and placing the center channel on one end of a shelf instead of the center of it. Then you place your subwoofer to the side of your TV stand to 'balance' the look. This also makes the subwoofer a little less directional but maycause vibrations on your tv stand.
I'm also a little concerned baout the ability of the 6" to hit high mid notes. I compared my CS1 to a set of floorstanding Sony MF series with 6"woofer 3"mid and I think a metallic tweeter. Found the Sony's had 'brighter' Highs than the Polk could do and reproduced some higher midranges better so I think that 3" midrange helped. The CS1 did do a far better job cleaning up the sound and emphasizing most vocal range which is its job. A 6" woofer cannot do a better job on upper mid's than a 5" so I wouldn't step up from a CS1 to a CS2 unless you really want booming bocals or your sub really sucks.
That's actually the same reason I held off on the Monitor 70's as good as the reviews are and am looking at the Monitor 60's instead. Worse comes to worse you cna always make the 60's your rears and pick up 70's later.
They have been hurt more than most by the rescession because of the Circuit City bankruptcy (their largest dealer). As a result, it looks like they have a lot of product they are liquidating through Newegg. The recently discountinued monitor series stuff was a good value at normal prices...at these prices a truly excellent deal. The Polk DSW 1000 subwoofer is a great deal too.

Thanks for the heads up on the CS2. I recently purchased Polk Monitor 70's with discount, and was waiting on the center CS2 to go on sale. Bensbargains.net only listed the Monitor 60 coupon.
