Tickets to see "Wicked," one of the biggest shows to hit the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco, are over 35% off for some of the best available seats in the house.
"Wicked" tells the story of the Witches of Oz long before Dorothy fatefully dropped in. Tickets to this rarely discounted show start at just $50 for select nights through Nov. 1.
For performances Tuesday-Thursday the following seating is available: $50 (reg. $80) for Orchestra, Loge and Mezzanine seats
For performances Friday, Saturday and Sunday matinee, the following seating is available: $75 (reg. $99) Orchestra, Loge and Mezzanine seats
Click Here for tickets and more information. Click "Find Tickets" next to the show date and enter the code 27FALL in the box marked "Promotions and Special Offers." Use the pull-down menus to select seats. Or call 415-512-7770 or 800-982-2787, and mention code 27FALL to get seats.
Not a deal killer, but something I noticed: when I select $80 "best available" tickets WITHOUT the promo code, it picked fairly good seats in the Orchestra section, near the center. When I did the same thing WITH the promo code, it picked two seats in what I believe is considered "Extreme side orchestra". Just thought it's worth pointing out.

Like Yuyak pointed out, these codes give a discount, but the seats you get are limited view seats which probably should have been discounted to begin with. Thanks for posting them, but if you use one, take a close look at the seats before you pull the trigger.

Now I see why it took me forever to find the field for the special code. The special code field only shows up through August 15. I need tickets for almost any day after that, which is why I couldn't find it but saw it in the link for the August 5 tickets.

Are there any discounts for tickets before they close the show?
I just saw it last night. GREAT show. All discounts...meaning even the ability to enter a discount code...appear to have expired as of August 15. I hunted on Craigslist for tickets, but honestly got better tickets for the normal price through Ticketmaster.com than most of the ticket brokers had at all...and even then their tickets were often double the price! After a week of trying to buy tickets from a private seller, I just bought through Ticketmaster. Front row, center section tickets bought only 1 week before for $92/each after fees.
Best seats IMO: Orchestra, center section (there are four orchestra "columns" and you want one of the middle two) about 10-15 rows back (probably H through M), or front row Loge/Mezzanine.

Are Loge and Mezz on the ground or do you need to up up a set of stairs? I see tickets for Mezzanine, but it looks far from the stage in the seating chart

Loge/Mezz are the first balcony level, and Balcony is the second (nosebleed). The Loge seats are about 3/5 of the way back from the stage, so it would be like sitting around row P-Q-S in Orchestra but you get a great view. The Orpheum SF theatre is not a very large one overall. I've been in several worse venues where ANY mezzanine/balcony seat stinks. This theatre is not one of them.
