i really feel like some artscow "free" deals are really bait and switch once you include their shipping charges ... $6.50 for 10 isnt so bad, but often their "free" deals come out to cost about the same (and sometimes even more than) a "free shipping" deal
Artscow's usual price per 8x10 print is only $0.49 ... If you can find a "free shipping" coupon then you have a better deal than this
also, orders usually take a little while to process and ship (all the way from Hong Kong?)
I signed up for their intro offer for 1500 free prints, 100 free 4x6 and 50 5x7 per month, but the shipping and handling prices are pretty ridiculous! Besides the 4x6 and 5x7s they offer larger prints for free too, i had a bunch of "credits" in my account for all kinds of free items, the annoying part though is that shipping and "handling" turns out to cost MORE than the actual order ... see simple example below:
Order Summary Product Name 100 - Prints 4" x 6" 50 - Prints 5" x 7" Total 150 "Free" prints Pictures Price $12.00 Shipping/Handling Fees $13.98 Free Credit ($12.00) Total Price $13.98
Also, be advised that Artscow is out of the US (Hong Kong as stated above) and the credit card company will likely charge you a foreign transaction fee and the associated interest on your cc statement. I used paypal on a transaction with my mastercard as the payer.....and the mc invoice showed additional charges.....which they refused to delete.....claiming the company is in China, so you have to pay the fees.
The company should advise customers that the charges go through to China, even though they have a customer service number in the US.....and that foreign fees are possible, based on who you use for your credit card (mine was Citibank Mastercard). Paypal of course was typically useless.....with many e-mails back and forth from different countries....one more confusing than the next.....and not settling anything......amazing how they can do business in the US with all the laws concerning their type of business.
The site looks like a US company.....but it is not....for sure.

Does Visa charge any fees?
Visa charge 1% and your bank charge 2% on any foreign transaction if the payment is in USD, if its foreign currency conversion you will be hit by 6%. None of the web sites give you a hint about it including major travel websites like Orbitz.
You are better off crediting your paypal account from your bank account and pay for any online orders.
