I just got back from Miami's Race for the Cure...it was crowded and hot, but I managed to win!

We have this and it makes great waffles. The timer is lame because it runs on batteries, is always on, and you have to manually set it to 3 minutes. If you want great batter, search Amazon for Golden Malted Pancake & Waffle batter. It is simply delicious.

FYI this is the regular price so the hotness must come after you receive it and turn it on.

I'll tell you what's hot, winning that's Hot with a capital H!

Waiting 3 to 5 weeks to taste a Belgian waffle through Amazn is not hot.

Sears has it at the same price, order on line, pickup in 5 minutes at the store, eat waffles tomorrow.

You can't eat the waffles til tomorrow because to make the world's best homemade yeast waffles you have to let the batter sit in the fridge overnight.

Here's the recipe:

1 3/4 cups whole milk , or low-fat milk, or skim milk
8 tablespoons unsalted butter , cut into 8 pieces
2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour (10 ounces)
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon table salt
1 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Heat milk and butter in small saucepan over medium-low heat until butter is melted, 3 to 5
minutes. Cool milk/butter mixture until warm to touch. Meanwhile, whisk flour, sugar, salt, and
yeast in large bowl to combine. Gradually whisk warm milk/butter mixture into flour mixture; continue
to whisk until batter is smooth. In small bowl, whisk eggs and vanilla until combined, then
add egg mixture to batter and whisk until incorporated. Scrape down sides of bowl with rubber
spatula, cover bowl with plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight or up to 24 hours. Whisk it just a couple of beats before cooking

This yeasty stuff tastes like Krispy Kreme meets Aunt Jemima. YMMMMMM!!!! It takes less than 10 minutes to make, but you do have to plan in advance.

It was on backorder because Amazon had if for $30 recently, but it is back in stock for $40 now.

For the most amazing waffles, try separating the eggs, beating the egg whites till stiff but not dry and then folding them into the mixture at the end, using the Golden mix and recipe.
