Normally, I buy the Alpha Model Rockets Educator Pack and the Bulk B6-4 Engine Educator Pack. I know this kit comes with different engines. Will the other engines be too much for me to fly at a middle school?
Depends on the field and consitions, on a windier day, you can go down to the 'A' engines and get a lower flight, or vice-versa, you can step up to the 'C' engines if the 'B' engies are landing well within the safe zone.
Check out the second link, they have the B6-4 24-packs for $35, and several other rocket kits in dozens that are less expensive than the Alpha.

That's a great deal on engines...I wonder how much shipping is. (btw - looks like BSA is IE-only - Firefox makes the backend app puke). The 1/2A isn't much of a deal, but the BO/A/B packs are good at $29.88, and the C pack is also a bargain at $34.88. I might have to check my rocket box to see if I'm getting light on BP engines.
If you're looking to do something next spring, Starlight Rocketry is going to offer a 3FNC (3 fins and a nose cone) bulk kit for $1.75 each. It's for an "event" so I don't know about how the timing is - they may not ship until next April.
My local TRU started carrying the engines. a three pack is $6, so a 24 pack will be $48. Shipping from this site is $7.50 up to $50 and $10 up to $100, so it is definitely worth it - unless you need them today. But being a scout to to be prepared
