Linky to Amazon page Once there, click to see price in cart. Amazon has a pre-order price guarantee. This price is $4.50 off the msrp of $49.99, which for a new release is a pretty hot deal.

Borderlands is also a new genre of game--it's a RPS; a combination of role-playing (RP) and first person shooter (FPS). Up to four players can play cooperatively online.

The PS3 and XBOX versions release 10/20/2009. The msrp for those are $59.99, and the Amazon pre-order price is $58.99. Definitely not such a hot deal for the console versions!

Edit: If you don't care about owning the disc and box, etc. Steam has the PC version on pre-sale for $44.99 or a four-pack for $134.97 so you and three friends can jump right in with guns (over 600,000 of them!!) blazing.

Some sites are saying that there are more than 17.5 million weapons in the game... crazy!

How is gogamer cheaper? $44.90 + $2.95 = $47.85. Looks like Amazon has the better deal.

If you can get 3 other people, it's cheapest to get the Borderlands 4-pack deal from Steam. $134.97 for 4 copies of the game, that's $33.75 each.

Awesome game - already started my second play through on xbox. Too much fun. Tons of guns/armor/mods!
