For those who like (or want to try) trackballs instead of a mouse, Buy.com is offering the Kensington 64327 for $22.99 with a $10 MIR. The design is a little older, but reviews are generally good and it's a great price to try out a trackball.

THANKS OP!
I've been needing a new trackball for work. They will only provide cheap-o mice and I much prefer the trackball. I have been using kensington trackballs since the late 1990's and don't think I could ever go back to mice for everyday use.

This trackball has no scroll wheel and only a left and right button, no middle. This may make it harder to scroll pages or middle-click links to open them in new tabs. There might be a Firefox extension that would allow left-clicking to open new tabs- there used to be one called click2tab but I believe it does not work with the current Firefox.

I prefer the trackball mouse too. But the ones I have, I use my thumb to roll the ball. Does this one use the index finger?
Just bought 2 of this, one each for home & work. This is the Orbit, one of the best trackball around. The index finger ones are horrible, this one works a lot better. To scroll, you just have to click both buttons together and move the ball. I had this years ago, and then they dropped support for that old version. Now that I saw this, brings back so much good memories. You won't be disappointed. Took a little to get used to, but once you do it was amazing, helped with your wrist also if you have signs of carpal tunnel.
