Just went to the store and the price is $49.99 and they will not price match.

My wife had called toysrus 1-800 number to ask if we can get this in store and they said "yes". So she called our local store in Frisco TX and they confirmed this. So later in the afternoon she visited them and the item was displayed at $49.99. However when she mentioned about her conversation they reduced the price to $29.99 after scanning the product and then applied the $10 manufacturer rebate. In effect we got this at $19.99. She bought two as this was a highly rated award-winning toy in Amazon.com. Hope this helps

TRU in Fort Wayne, IN had signs for $29.99. Also got a special value pack that came with a bonus Cat In The Hat book. Thanks!
The $29.99 one is the old model - only holds 5 books, and doesn't come with batteries or a hardcover book. The $49.99 one is the new model - holds 10 books, comes with batteries, and a Dr Seuss hardcover book.
Sunnyvale, CA toys r us has both in stock, in the same location. There's nothing to indicate the fact one is on special and the other isn't.

I just called the store in Firsco and they would not honor the price from Internet. Is there a place that says they should honor the internet price?

the toys r us i went to, in cary nc, have plenty on sale at the price $29.99. but they won't let me use the coupon. they said it's a fraud, which is really a scary word. i don't want to be arrested by shopping at their store.

If you can find it at Target it is 39.99. They have an instore coupon for 10.00 and you can get the manufactures coupon, both off the internet. Ends up 19.99
