I bought 2 of these drives in IDE as open box deals from Newegg a few seeks ago for $14.99 each. A friend wanted to upgrade so I ordered them. I liked them so much I kept them for myself and of course had to order him another one at full price. I just got my shipment of 4 more yesterday. I paid $29.99 for them. Newegg had this drive in the sata format cheaper than the IDE last week.
I was using an old NEC that has never given a minutes trouble but these drives are so much faster. I only use them to rip and burn movies but they are a lot faster than the old drive. And they are very quiet too.

It does burn DL. Go look at the specs listed on the ZZF site.

I've never burned a DL disc, it isn't a priority for me. Check out this Neweggage: OEM Samsung SH-S223C DVD burner and a 4 GB Kingston MicroSD card for $25.99 with free shipping: BEHOLD

The SH-S223B (ZZF) is able to burn Dual Layer DVD while the SH-223C (Egg) cannot. Thanks for pointing that out. I do need DL support, I had to use that media about 4 times so far because the content wouldn't fit in a single layer.
haridsv said: Which is the part number of Kingston 4GB Micro SD card? There isn't a mentioning of such a bundle on that page.
I also do not see the 4GB Micro SD card mentioned, or any combo deals. If you could add any additional info it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Newegg removed the MicroSD card from the bundle. The deal is discussed in this thread. According to some linkers the SH-S223C can burn DL, though I'm not counting on it. The days of the $20-$22 delivered DVD burner seem to be over just like cheap DDR2 RAM. Anything under $28 isn't bad these days.
