Can you beat this. Give me greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen. No flaming of this deal will be allowed-the management

OK I have you beat. They mailed me a 25 off 75 coupon. So I can figure another 15.00 in junk and save even more. Its a pretty sharp deal considering that you can use the toner and maybe use the printer for one of those 50.00 trade in programs from HP.

Anyone have experience with this printer?

I've been using one for a few years now and I've never had a problem with it.

I may have to jump on this deal and get this as a back up even though I think I have 2 others in the garage now

Get a case of those free papers to go along with your printer than you are set. $5 for the printer and paper after rewards not to shabby

Link for the lazy: linkified

What is maxperk reward? It is just an OM gift card?

it is a good printer, fast first copy.

I've been using one with a $20 D-Link usb print server and they work great together on my home network. I'm using toner from here "TONER LINK". No problems and it saves black ink in my color printer.

where did you find the $10 off $50 coupon. I searched my email for officemax coupons and was able to find a $30 off $150 coupon.

i have no Om coupons either. Hmmmm. I wondr why I'm not getting them since i but there all the time (like today).

I've had this printer for 2 years, works great. I paid about $30 for it after rebate. Highly recommended.

What size cartridge does this come with? (i.e. how many pages does it last?)

how can you get those case of free papers ? link ?

note: also coupon , any help ?

> What size cartridge does this come with? (i.e. how many pages does it last?)

They come with a starter cartridge. It is the same as the regular one except is filled with less toner. (I think it is rated for 1000 pages)

I have been using 2 of these printers for years. I have refilled the starter cartridge using a kit you can get on eBay (< $10). I have yet to buy a new cartridge for either printer. They work great!

Good Printer!

I'll need a refill kit soon for the 2510; no need to spend $89.00 for an OEM cartridge. Any recommendations on best kits? worst kits?

I have never refilled a cartridge myself. Exactly how difficult is it? Messy? Not difficult for someone who is only half way technically inclined? Any good online resources you refill experts care to share?

buy a refill on eBay or somewhere
it will come with good instructions
it is easy to refill -- just be patient and you wont make a mess.

if you try to go to fast you will make a mess but still have yet to 'fail' at doing a refill

It's a workhorse.

hkgfnt said: I have never refilled a cartridge myself. Messy?

The toner (its lighter than air!) gets on everything no matter how careful you are. Refilling saves alot, but after trying it a few times, I went back to buying no-name replacement cartridges to avoid the hassels.

if you care to, you can use a $30 off $150 coupon (good online) and buy $90 of "free after bonus rewards" items to make this printer completely free after rewards.

Is there a limit on how many you can buy and get the rewards..IE: Can I buy three and receive $90 in rewards next month?...I Smell eBay

How does the the $30 Reward Card thing work? Am I supposed to be a member and use a membership card to get it? Or is it a prepaid reward card I am getting as rebate? Thanks.

This is one of the best printers I have used. Bought it for $50 two years ago and it is still going strong. I printed out about 3000 pages using less than $100 dollars on toners last year. The 1000 page capacity toners are about 30 bucks on Amazon.com. Maybe Ill buy a couple more for gifts

You need to sign up for a rewards card.

You need to sign up for a rewards card.

....and you can do it online and print out a temporary card to use in a store.

Care to provide more info on how to get $90 worth of "free after bonus rewards" items? The total of those "free after bonus rewards" boxes, paper, and folders are well less than $90 (as far as I know).

Thanks!

the printer has $30 maxperks for each 1 u buy

I have refilled many cartridges, generally it is a simple operation. The first one i did was a little messy, but most have been done with no problem. Make sure you cover the surface on which you are doing refills with something like newspaper, make sure you have alot of dry paper towels around(it is easier to clean up toner with dry paper towels. Make sure to shake the toner alot before putting it in the cartridge. Be careful when you place the toner bottle in the cartridge initially, this is where i have had the most spills. It takes me about 10 minutes to refill a cartridge and that includes clean up. It is better to use something to melt the cartridge rather than drilling it(you do not want any plastic chips or pieces in the cartridge). If you melt it with something hot it works better(i have used a nail and a candle-when it didn't have my soldering gun. Hope this helps

how does the quality of your print after first refill? the eBay seller said that it can be refilled about 3 times starting to see the inmage quality decreases, i refill mine for the first time but was unable to make it dark like original, it's about 20 to 30 lighter than original, other user said in the other thread that he contacted the eBay seller and the seller told him to replace the drum

The problem is what we are going to do with all those Officemax reward dollars. Do they expire? Nowadays there seems to be very few good deals at our beloved OMX ...

just bought a bunch of stuff at OM today. They have free sharpie pens, banker boxes, file folders, a ream of paper, all of this for free with maxperks. i plan on using my maxperks during black friday and hopefully score a chair.

jonnashville said: michaelmorio said: How does the the $30 Reward Card thing work? Am I supposed to be a member and use a membership card to get it? Or is it a prepaid reward card I am getting as rebate? Thanks.

It's the equivalent of a gift card. You need to use it at OM.

No, it is NOT equivalent of a gift card. The difference is that if you use bonus rewards to purchase an item, you will not get any bonus rewards advertised for that item.

Check the fine print.

Note to OP: Don't include crap like this in your post:

I gave you red for that.

You also should have included a link to product in your post.

I haven't visited an OM store since their rebates went the way of the dodo bird and passenger pigeon.

Not true...maybe it says it in the fine print...but I have gotten the rewards back when using rewards to purchase items!

I do it all the time

It does say it in the fine print, and I personally had the experience where MaxPerks were denied because I used Maxperks rewards to make the purchase.

I eventually got the rewards credited after making several phone calls and bitching, but I was told that they made a special exception for me (because I was being a pain in their a**) and that they would deny any future maxperks rewards on purchases made with maxperks rewards.

YMMV, but consider yourself warned.

Determine if the pickup rollers are easy (and cheap enough) to replace. My shop has many HP networked printers and the pickup rollers become snooth causing jams.

Otherwise, just be on the alert for when the Laser printers sell in the $60.00 range. This price range is an annual event.

PharmerNate said: swinte said: The Amazon reviews show a bunch of people having lots of paper jams with this printer after a couple years of use. Is anyone here running into the same issues?

I don't like to add to the landfill mess any more then the next guy....but a couple YEARS of printer life for ~$20 is pretty damn acceptable to me.
