I just got the coupon in the mailed disk I received from Netflix today. I wasn't aware that the player was also internet connected as well. Makes me wish I really had the $100 for the unit. Time to scrape together some cash - unless anyone here can say this isn't a good deal or that the Insignia brand is bad or.......

Thanks OP.
i think insignia is a best buy house brand so i would say mediocre not wow quality but not sketchy Chinese
I bought the previous INSIGNIA NS-BDLIVE01 BD-Live ready player when it was on sale for $99 earlier this year. (The NS-BDLIVE01 is similar to the cheaper model above but does not provide Netflix streaming) Though load times are a bit slow I've had no problems playing many Blu-Ray discs. This looks to be a solid deal for the new models.
I also bought the Insignia NS-BDLIVE01 for $99, but had to return it. The unit would interfere with signal reception to my TV. Whenever the Blu-Ray was in use, I would completely lose over the air signal on certain channels, and my DVR would record static. I videotaped my TV showing perfect reception, and then immediately going to static upon powering up the Blu-Ray. Best Buy graciously refunded my money. I bought a Sony S-360 on special for about $149, which hasn't interfered with my over-the-air reception at all. Also of note, the Insignia (at least the previous model) runs very hot. The Sony does not heat nearly as much.
I'm not trying to thread crap, but am relaying my past experiences with this brand. As I understand, these units are made specifically for Best Buy by a Chinese factory and contrary to some Internet gossip are not rebranded from any of the major electronics manufacturers. If you buy one, make sure it does not interfere with your DVR.
I'm sorry, it's been too long since I've been active on these boards, but I can't find how this deal works. Can someone spell it out plainly what I need to get the player for $99. I clicked the link but it only took me to the reward zone homepage.
When you go the the rewardszone site, you login and from there you will get information about the offer and be able to print the in store coupon from there.

Farmer said:er3456, how was the picture quality of the Insignia comparing to the Sony S-360 that you have now? Thanks.
I don't remember a discernible difference in picture quality for Blu-Ray, the upscaling of standard DVDs looked better on the Sony. Also, the Sony was quieter, and much more responsive to commands from the remote control. I remember being frustrated that there was a split second-delay between hitting pause or skip on the Insignia remote and the player actually doing it. The Insignia also didn't feel very sturdy. It took a bit of troubleshooting to get the audio to work properly with my older 5.1 surround receiver. I had to toggle the Insignia's settings to "Legacy Audio Format" before I could get 5.1 surround.
I'm not outright endorsing the S-360 either. It has a slow boot up time (which can be lessened by enabling Quick Start Mode, but that uses more power). It also does not have Netflix streaming. I bought it because 1) it did not interfere with my other equipment 2) it was only $149 and 3) I could stream Netflix off my TiVo.
Love this price, I guess the next question is - how good is this player for BD? I'm trying to research a low price solution and even the big name players low-end models; Samsung, Panasonic, etc all have big issues with not playing new (or old) BDs, slow to respond to remote commands, etc....
I just picked up the $99 basic model at my local best buy and am currently watching/streaming Heroes in HD. The video quality when watching Netflix is as good if not better than my xbox 360 and there is no loud fan noise like the xbox. I haven't watching any blu rays yet, but I will test out a few later and post if there are issues.
FWIW, the player was $179 in store and the manager had to do a price adjustment to bring it down to $99 with coupon. I also considered the more expensive player that was $50 more that had wifi, but I thought this model had a better looking front pannel.
