Generally, CA rebates can be pre-submitted at http://www.carebatecenter.com/. Pre-submitted rebates still need to be mailed-in. The main advantages are having a tracking number from the start and more accurate data entry. As of this posting, neither rebate was available from online submission.

Even though OfficeDepot.com does not allow dollar off coupon codes on software purchases, it does allow freebie coupon codes:

Coupon Code ...... Item Name .............................. Min. Order ............ Expiration

14116743 .......... Laptop Tote ............................... $100.00 ................. ???
10282291 .......... Retro Boombox .......................... $150.00 ................. ???
17297966 .......... Mystery Gift (incl Fandango GC) .. $100.00 ............... 12/31

While these titles are noted in the thread Office Depot $1000 in FAR software with purchase of Microsoft Windows 7, this is not a repost as these two items do not require the purchase of MS Windows 7 to be FAR.

Thanks OP, please make sure you know this is for UPGRADE only. So you must have the software already if you want the rebate.

I like these software rebates. I use them for work and they are a great tax write off.

Thanks for reinforcing the upgrade requirement.

Right but I have a whole pile of these things sitting around from previous deals. Couldn't get anything for them on eBay.

I do understand that pretty much the only reason for purchasing these items is for ink recycling purposes.

I purchased this and the UPC doesn't match. Certainly the right item. Same SKU. Anyone have rebate issues with this type of thing in the past?

My UPC doesn't match also. Contacted Office Depot and they said they will let me know what to do. I hope that help.

Just to update. They rejected the $70 one for wrong UPC. Called and they were able to fix it with yet another "one time courtesy".

When it comes to CA I found it easier to not send in a UPC. Instead of rejecting it for an invalid UPC it will be for a missing UPC. It was easier to get it approved if done that way.
