Best Buy B&M Samsung P1600 $179.99 + $50 in Blu-ray movies FREE instantly. Save more with open box! P3600 & P4600 as well.
Hello,

Few seem to be aware of the free $50 Blu-ray promo Best Buy is running. There are two different versions of the promotion....one for B&M and the other for online.

Purchase required: Samsung P1600, P3600, or P4600 All which have Netflix, Blockbuster, YouTube, and Pandora built in!

Promo end date: 10/24/09

Brick and Mortar

$50 in free Blu-ray with any Samsung P1600, P3600 or P4600. Savings is instant. Must buy the movies on the same receipt.

If you don't buy $50 worth, then you get whatever you picked free, if you go over you have to pay anything over $50. Example: You pick 4 titles on sale for $9.99 and 1 on sale for $12.99, you would owe $2.xx plus tax. You pick 4 titles on sale for $9.99.....well, you just wasted $10+.

Online:

2 Blu-ray movies from online list (may be more then those...haven't confirmed) with a sell price of up to $25 with the purchase of any Samsung P1600, P3600 or P4600. Savings is instant. Must buy the movies on the same receipt.

So, if you can find an open box with the usual savings of around 15-20% (may GREATLY vary depending on your local manager), that would mean about $150 PLUS $50 worth of free Blu-ray!

Not a bad deal at all for a name brand Blu-ray player with Netflix, Blockbuster, Pandora, and YouTube.

BONUS: The purchase is late enough in the month that black friday ads will have leaked in time for you to do a return. You will want to keep you Blu-rays sealed if you think you might want to return it for a better Black Friday deal.

I am aware of the deal on the Insignia Blu-Ray player with coupon for Reward Zone member, but they don't have Netflix functionality yet, and based on past history of Insignia's, it may be months. Plus, no Blockbuster (which is nice for watching previews), Pandora, or YouTube AFAIK. Personally, I would take a Samsung over an Insignia any day. I would take an LG over a Samsung, but not for the price difference right now.

Hope this help someone,

GOOD LUCK!

Jason

P.S. For those that need a 1gb Flash Drive for their P1600, my targets just reduced 1gb flash drive with 2 free music downloads for $2.24.

Seems like a good deal if you're in the market for some movies, though the reviews seem mixed @ BestBuy.com (AVG 3.4/5 stars).

But the overall rating is skewed down due to earlier reviews. It seems like they might have even revised the model a little along the way (?).

Thanks OP. Will be going by BB tomorrow or Sat and getting either P1600 or Insignia... still not sure which one!
