If you follow apple refurb machines, I think these are great prices. These are the older ones, prices are low since they released the new ones. Refurb macs are essentially like new ones, come with a year warranty and you can purchase apple care on them. I believe it is a 14 day return policy.

Too bad PC's suck. And if you are in the creative field at all, you need a mac. Move along.
BTW, Apple just released the new iMacs this week. That's prob why these refurb's are priced so low. But there isn't much difference between them and the new 'refreshed' models. I think this is a great deal. The price for these new last week was around $1700 for the 2.93Ghz I believe.
I paid about $1800 for the 3.06 24"(+AppleCare) thru an eBay dealer + bing CB in July. Nice post OP.

That's true, but unless you are looking to spend over $1000 on additional RAM, its an unnecessary concern... gotta be a video editor for that I think. =)

Not really, the new one has 4 slots, so you can buy 8GiB of inexpensive RAM. If you have the $$ it's also 27" IPS panel, has an SD slot and you can get a quad-core nehalem. Plus you can get mini-displayport in so you can hook your MacBook up to the 27" panel.
This is a good deal from the OP though, quite a bit less cash than the new 27".

Only the top-of-the-line model does (and a Core i7 is also available). The base 27" comes with a C2D.
As someone mentioned, if you want more RAM the new ones are a nice choice. They come with 4GB, and you can upgrade to 8GB for less than $100 if purchased separately (not from Apple).
If not, this is a good price on an older one. These never last long after new models are announced, so make up your mind fast!
