We have been looking around for security camera system and cameras, to monitor my house. They are so expensive that we could not make up our mind to purchase. Then I found this on Amazon today, unbelievable. Usually such camera costs $60-90 each
10 pcs 1/3" Sony CCD IR cameras for $157.99, shipping is $29.99 .
You'll either get one camera or nothing at all, and that's after waiting the 3 weeks they take to even decide if they want to try and fulfill the order at all.

caution!!! 10 pieces are probably just that...not 10 cameras...decals, instruction book, power brick, wires, mounting brackets & so on...
Amazon will not let you get ripped off but you may not get what you expect. And it may take a long time to even figure out if you are going to get what you expect. Watch for this item to disappear later today or for the price to go up as FatWallet eBay Lurkers buy these up for resale and they notice the run on this product and see their mistake (intentional or not).

Here's what they do... they list all kinds of stuff at high prices on Amazon, many times 3 - 5 times what something should cost. Then, if someone buys something from them, they'll go and try and track the item down from a distributor or eBay to send to you. If they can't find it, they'll cancel the order. This is why it says 1 - 3 weeks for delivery. It's a lucrative business model for them, but sucks for anyone ordering from them who doesn't realize how they operate. It's also how I know you won't get 10 cameras. There's no situation where Action Packaged would provide a 'great deal'.

Oh, this is a bad guy. I will try to cancel my order.
But the other seller is selling this lot for much more.
According to what you said, this is a really bad guy. Can we do something to expose him to all buyers?

The listing says "10 cameras lot VideoSecu Outdoor Indoor Day night Security Camera with 1/3" Sony SuperHAD CCD Wide View Angle Free Power Supply free surveillance DeCal IR40SK"
Nevertheless, Since the seller is doubtful one should stay away.

12v 500mA power supply = $2.00 or less from hong kong. Silly cheap knock-off IR cameras are about $10-$15/ea from hong kong in bulk also. It may or may not have a Sony 1/3" CCD. From what I've seen, the manufacturer of the CCD (Sony, Sharp, or any other), and CCD vs CMOS, doesn't make that big of a difference given the relatively cheap lens and low resolutions on these "indoor/outdoor IR" cameras. I've had some last a long time, and others go south on me in only a few months usage. Just my $0.02.

real Sony CCD camera costs high. The rule is, do not buy from sellers who sell at crazy low price. And always check the feedback of the seller

Why would anyone buy from them if they charge 3 - 5 times the price?
yeah alot of the places use B-stock or lie and use 1/4" or just not even Sony. like every camera 99% of the image quality is in the lens. if you don't have a nice low f/stop lens for your needs it will suck. also keep in mind you probably want a lens that supports the shutter digitally or you can burn out the CCD with direct sunlight exposure.
and to that matter you need to check if these have IR CUT Filters otherwise they may distort the colors and see through wet-clothes at the beach (no joke!) many china junk dealers sell units where the IR CUT is supposed to be in the lens then tack on a fixed board lens that is made out of plastic (!?).
