Dude, don't you know by now that you have to click on " upcoming weekly ad" ? That has been mentioned for years on here if you have ever read just one Staples thread.

Geez. This was his 2nd post in 3+ years. Something tells me he won't be attempting another post anytime soon.
Also there is a 10% off a single item coupon from the weekly ad page from 10/25/2009 - 10/31/2009. Staples 10% off a single coupon - 10/25/2009 - 10/31/2009 http://akimages.crossmediaservices.com/listingimages/Retailers/Staples/event_images/175x175_060131_New_Site/10_25_Base_Coupon_Page.pdf

I just got it .. the last one in Chicago. What a bummer - The laptop does not switch on. After uninstalling and installing the battery 3 times and following instructions on some websites, I'm still having issues. The laptop switches on, and as I move it even 1 inch, it shuts off ... leading me to go through the exercise again. Now, even the website is out of stock, so can't order another one. I'm out of muy old thinkpad running XP (well, granted that that was a 2001 450MHz processor .. but still at least it was working). Now, I'll call Acer to see what they can do. Any tips / similar experiences?

Just return it to the store. It's not worth keeping it if it is having issues at the start unless you didn't charge the battery.
You are right... I'm leaning towards returning it. But not sure if they would have my notebook that I traded-in. The store is pretty far ... just unnecessary hassel now. Do you guys know if the serial numbers have to match for the returns? I was thinking of picking up from a store / online that may have this laptop available during the next few days, and then returning this piece on that receipt .. thus not messing up my recycle credit and a gift card that I used on the order.

Just return it to the store. It's not worth keeping it if it is having issues at the start unless you didn't charge the battery. If you talk nicely to the store manager he/she might be able to ship a new one to your store (or even your address) from another store (the one which has it in stock) for an exchange. That way it's a win win situation for you. You can try doing it by phone but I am not sure about the chances, although it doesn't hurt to try. Hope this helps.

What a let down! This monitor is on sale for $99 or $86 AC using the 10% coupon. If you are going to post an AC or AR price, at least post the coupon/rebate needed to get it to that price.
Can someone comment on the trade in procedure i.e. does it need a XP sticker with key on the laptop, do they test WGA etc? I have a win2k Think Pad I wish to 'upgrade'.
Make money on printer purchase with a pc at Staples
Look at the receipt I posted. $69.98 Out the door. There is a printable 10% off coupon when you look at this weeks ad on line. That is $7 off When you buy a laptop, you get a coupon book, to use on that purchase, there is a coupon for $40 off an HP printer $69.98 or more. Then there is a $70 easy rebate (online) on the printer. After all is said and rebate received, they paid you $47.00
To that I add the proceeds from: I sell the ink for $26.00 and the power supply for $15 (minus auction and postage costs) Then I have the prionter to use as a $50 tradein when appropriate.
The d4360 FAR is not mentioned anywhere except in the rebate section search there for it, but it does print out with the purchase printer sku 740301 rebate id 09-11320

Staples does not record serial numbers of the laptops sold.
