Finally a USB missile launcher that does not require batteries to operate! It uses pressurized air to shoot three foam missiles up to 10 feet. The included software CD allows you to install a control panel on your computer. You can swivel the launcher 180° and tilt 45° and shoot the missiles at unsuspecting targets at the touch of a button. Includes 3 feet of USB cable.

A guy at work had one of these. We taped a webcam to it and put it on his cube wall. He could see who he was shooting and aim it without getting up.

I went to MC to look at this and found the USB Missle Launcher with Webcam for 14.99. You don't need to tape a webcam on this baby. sku is 763516. However, the up down gear seems to be broken on my model. Also, the missle launcher seems to be flakey. But for a motorized webcam it is cool.

Anyway to control this with some manual remote control or is it through the computer software only?

At the very least, you could use VNC or hook an IR detector up to your comp.

fyi: quality control seems to be an issue with these. i returned 4 from my local MC. some would shoot, but not rotate, and others vice versa. unfortunately, none worked fully. CSR said several others had been returned that day as well. if buying as a future gift, you may want to test now...

Mine doesn't rotate or shoot. i tried all three versions (1.0,1.2,1.3) of the software on the Dream Cheeky site. Looks like I'm going back to MC too to exchange this.
