Fry's has the Dual XHD7714 for $99. Next cheapest is $130 at Amazon. * Integrated HD Radio tuner with iTunes Tagging * Integrated Bluetooth with Built In Microphone for Hands Free Enabled Phones * iPod control includes 2-Wire iPod cable * Front USB Input * 3-Pair of preamp outputs (F/R/S)
-Display and button lights are both extremely bright and non-dimmable. It's so bad that I want to turn it off at night because it is a serious distraction. I've considered putting a small piece of tint over the display but that won't help with the illuminated buttons. Also, if you have a USB drive in, the drive activity light (if it has one) points at the driver and is very annoying.
-Fast forward and rewind has one speed only (5 or 10 seconds per jump). Skipping a half hour into a podcast takes minutes of continuous button holding. And don't accidentally let up pressure slightly because you'll skip to the next track and have to come back and do it all over again.
Other than that, it's good for the 50 bucks or so that I paid for it. HD AM radio is outstanding! FM isn't as noticeable. Extra channels on both bands is great.
You can definitely tell the cheapness on this unit but it gets the job done.
edit: I have the 6425 so I don't know if these two issues have been fixed since then.

No other brand has built in bluetooth, HD radio, and USB for this price. If you don't have a critical ear then you'd probably be satisfied with a Dual. You can't get all of these features in one unit on a Sony or Kenwood without adding adapters and spending over twice as much.
I have been using the Dual 6425 for just over a year and am looking to upgrade because the MP3 decoder for the USB isn't what I think it could be soundwise and also random doesn't seem random at all. On the other hand my Zune sounds great when played through the aux port.

Got the 6425 for $50 after $50 HD Radio rebate (which came back super fast.) It has CD, USB, HD Radio, Bluetooth, front AUX input, detachable faceplate, etc. Sound quality is great.
Yeah same here. Love the fact I can use anything I want. USB, Aux, Bluetooth, CD. I kind of like the lights at night but that's personal preference. The HD is kind of hokey. Sometimes it just completely cuts out and back on. Or it will skip backwards and forwards. Not sure if thats a product of a weak antenna in my car or on the radio, or just HD radio not being mature yet. Its definately worth the money if your not completely anal about sound. Its not gonna sound like a $500 radio but if you just want a solid radio this is it. Was a snap to install also in my Explorer.
For pretty much all after-market radios you need to buy an adapter that will fit it to your original radio slot. Start Here and it will tell you what you need for your vehicle.

I have a similar Dual (HD Radio, USB & Aux In, but no iTunes Tagging or Built In Bluetooth) that I bought 8 months ago. It's a great little unit, I haven't had any problems at all with it. I'm no audiophile, but I'd buy another Dual in a second. It doesn't seem to be worth paying for a more premium brand where car stereos are concerned.
I got the dual 8183 at bestbuy last year on clearance for 89 bucks. It plays dvd movies, mp3 on cd n dvd, bluetooth for phone adn a2dp , has ipod adpater for videos and songs too. No hd radio though. I bought a stereo harness adapter for 5 bucks and installed it in my corolla and couldn't be happier. Install was about 1 hour. Dual makes good stuff and cheap prices!

I have the dual xhd6425 and love it. The only problem is the HD radio can't be turned off. I've been looking for a radio for a different car for a few weeks now and this price ended that search. Another good radio for the price is the JVC kd-hdr50. That one needs a separate piece for Bluetooth though and is selling around $120-130.

ive had this model in my saturn vue for a couple years! im not overexited about the sound quality~sounds a bit cheap. and where i live i have poor HD reception so hd channels come and go... i was happy with the $149 price i paid for mine from Crutchfield, but it also sent along a diagram and a holder to make it fot in my suv!

Has anyone bought this and received it yet? The picture of it at Fry's is different than the one at Amazon. Which is the correct one?

Bought a single DIN DUAL receiver about 1 1/2 years ago with more or less the same specs as the one posted.
The only problem with my receiver is that is sometimes(30%) refuses to connect to a HD station when I first start my car and gives me really loud static. I have to power cycle the receiver to get it working again - which takes anywhere from 1 power cycle to 15 mins of it at the worst.
Other than that, I've had no qualms. The features on it are amazing for the price. I love how my front USB input charges things.
I never bought a Dual receiver before, but I would never buy this chinese noname radio ever. The secret of low price comes from the low component quality and as a result poor sound quality (not talking about built quality). The sound quality comes from quality components (that are simply not there in chinese noname products) since the only thing they care is low price. So if you found 100 bucks for it, find another 10 and buy at least JVC KDR600 at J&R.com with paypal promo or $30 to buy Kenwood KDCMP342U at Crutchfield.com. These are excellent starting units with great sound and solid reviews (not talking about great quality). In Russia we have a magazine doing tests of all kinds of car audio units (including two already mentioned) in a lab and that is a reputable magazine with serious testing procedure. Their resume (test results and personal opinion of these guys prove that) is that it is NOT worth changing your factory stereo with something cheaper than $100 and you should go for a reputable manufacturer, like JVC, Kenwood, Alpine, etc, IF you want to improve the sound (if you do your upgrade for bluetooth and other similar features than it is a different story) and you also need to at least replace the speakers with a better quality ones (Kenwood or Kicker are among leaders in the range $40-60 for coaxial 5-6" ones) (then, also think about sound-deadening with dynamax). But if you don't care about the sound of your car stereo then you probably better off sticking with your factory receiver.
