... and save money on your electricity as well.

Energy Plus is offering Delta Skymiles FF miles each month,
or, alternatively, Continental OnePass FF miles, if you change your
electric supplier from the default (eg CL&P) to them. They also
say they'll discount the elec rate by 15%.

Once you sign up, you get a bonus miles (3000 for OnePass, 3000 for SkyMiles),
plus double points each month, based on the "supplier-portion" of the electric
bill.

I did this (under Skymiles) several months ago, and have received both my bonus
and several hundred monthly points posted. Can't really tell if the elec is actually discounted -- those CL&P bills are so detailed and convoluted I just throw them in a drawer!

Here's the link to the OnePass deal.
Note that, if you currently have a Chase Continental MC or ATM card, you get
a bigger bonus (4000 mi), and more miles each month (3x).

They don't even code share. UA and CO will soon be allowing mileage to be earned/redeemed in each others programs.

Sounds like it -- Web site mentions UI (United Illuminating) and CLP.

You need to put "only in Connecticut" in the title. I gave you red for wasting my time reading stuff that only applies to a limited population

Actually the title does read "(CT only??)", which I think anticipated your question.
I should give you RED for not paying attention

Don't know where you got your info. I can check my bills if that'll help.

Any info as to the difference in rates would be helpful!

I had to go back to this winter to find a bill from before I switched to Energy Plus. But it does seem as I'm paying a lower rate for Generation ("Supplier") -- 10.55 c/Kwhr vs 12.22 c/Kwhr, about 14% less. I can't vouch for CL&P's current rates tho, but I doubt it has dropped since March. I would also note that Delivery, which is always billed by CL&P, has gone UP by 18%.

Summary of my CL&P bills the last few months.

POST-SWITCH:
Sep 21: 884 Kwhr, $158 total:
Supplier: Energy Plus: 10.55 c/Kwhr = $93.26
Delivery: CL&P: 7.37 c/Kwhr = $65.14

PRE-SWITCH:
Mar 31: 1932 Kwhr, $357 total:
Supplier: "Standard" (CL&P): 12.22 c/Kwhr = $236.03
Delivery: CL&P: 6.26 c/Kwhr = $121.02

I have this Electric Supplier through US airways and it is available in Texas. Texas Direct Energy Link 5,000 Bonus Miles and 1 Mile for Every 2 Dollars Spent. Average cost is 9.2cents for 2,000 kilowatts usage so pretty darn good.
