"refurbished" in the title would help!

I paid less than your posted price for a NEW console through Dell just two weeks ago ...

With the discounts (including CB) available lately this deal is not hot ...

Absent a time machine, what they went for a week ago is meaningless. That deal is no longer available, this one is and I don't see one better posted. Thus for many, this is the best there is for today.

No, it's not. It's always nice to have some reference as to the lowest price a retailer will go on an item. This is especially true with Amazon.com, who has been known to change an item's price several times in the same day. Some of us are in no hurry to buy something, and don't mind to wait on the sidelines for a price to reach the lowest point again.

Your logic astounds me. You would honestly take a used Wii over a new unit at a measly 15% discount? We are entering the "holiday" season and the deals on new Wiis will be bountiful.

When will we Fatwallet users stop being so afraid of "redding" a deal when it is, in fact, NOT a good deal ... just because we might hurt someones feelings?

OP, thanks for posting the "deal" ...

I'd take a used wii at a small discount. The wii is built better then the xbox 360 or ps3 (obviously, since it uses 10 year old technology), and they don't break as easily (Mostly due to lack of good Wii games, although (I wouldn't mind smash, mario, and the metroid pack).

Then by all means go waste your money. Stop defending "deals" that are not, in fact DEALS. 15% is not enough for most (intelligent) people to go for refurbished over new. We all vote with our dollars ... please feel free to go vote with yours ...

Seriously Dudster, just move along if you don't like the deal. I think you've made your point from "your perspective".

Some people are so demanding. They want everything to be as they expect it. Why don't they just move along and be more humble ? Those who love giving OPs red, likely never post a deal themselves here.

Green and red ratings, and everything in between, help to alert people to good deals, and skip not so good deals.

Red/green ratings do not rate the OP, they rate the deal contributed by the OP.

Due to the way the ratings work, I doubt anybody really looks/cares about the ratings ... it the title looks good, then people look ...

It doesn't matter what is posted, someone will always find a reason to give "red" to a deal. (Go count the number of deals that are "green").

Some of the "red" will be due to :
a) It's a Wii
b) It's Recertified
c) It's from Newegg
d) It's more than $99.99
e) It involves bing.com CB
f) to try to prevent the fatwallet effect from making it difficult to buy
g) some strange combination of the above that is relevent only to the person rating the deal.
