This works with the built-in pop up flash only, not external flash. List of DSLR's it works with are on in the link below. Reviews are mixed, but if you are taking mostly quick, close-range shots, this should work pretty good. I think the value in this is convenience (I'm planning to leave the connector mounted), vs. the other large diffusers I own that rarely get used as I am too lazy to mount the external flash. Enjoy. Do you have an eBay link? THe ones that I found were all about $10 - $12. I wanted to buy a few of these for people I know who are always using their built-in flashes.
You're right. The cheap listings are all gone now, including my transaction. I did get my purchase promptly and it is very well made for the money - $3.69 shipped. I forgot what the seller name is and can't trace it anymore as the listing has been removed. It came from Hongkong and the paypal name is softisland. I remember the package coming in with some free toy and dinodirect coupons too.
