You have to add to cart to see the lower price.

Seems like a good deal for a 21 ppm network color laser printer with auto duplex. According to the spec, it comes with standard toner cartridges for all 4 colors.

Enjoy!

Shipping was $30 for me via UPS ground. Still a decent deal.

$30 shipping... hmmm.... Are Samsung good printers? I usually get HP...

Approx. $340 to change all 4 toners.. yikes!

I think that makes it about $.08 per page (fuzzy math - better check me on this...) which is still not too bad but the Dell 3135n? is supposedly cheaper per page. I'd pay the extra though if I knew it would be relatively jam free and had exceptional output. Hard to tell this though unless you can find some reviews or comparisons.

Color laser printers are just like ink-jets, they will basically give you the printer and nail you on toner cartridges and image belt. I have a CLP-310 that I am running through my NAS so it's on my network. Nice prints, non-duplex, but for $115 on sale when I got it I will just buy another one rather than replace the consumables.

I was happy with the Samsung ML-1740 I had before. I looked up a bunch of reviews on the CLP-610ND and all said the print quality was fantastic. Windows 7 drivers are already on Samsung's site, too.

Ink jet heads clog if you don't use them often enough. Laser doesn't do this. This and this alone is a huge difference in favor of laser printers. And what are you going to do with your old laser printer when you buy a new one? Throw it in the landfill? I'm not blaming you, I am blaming these stupid printer manufacturer's who are pricing the cost of consumables through the roof. Pretty soon there won't be any humans, just WALL-E cleaning up our leftover junk.

You might be able to get free store pickup. Shipping was $51 to Seattle!!

ugg... just tried to pick one of these up. It showed up as the $169 price in my cart, I tried to checkout and ended up with an error. Now when I try to add it, it shows up as $329. It looks like this deal is dead.

Well, apparently I spoke too soon.

I waited about 20 minutes before posting anything, and right after I posted that I went back to the site... viola, its $169.99 again.

There are toner refill kits and remanufactured cartridges. I refilled the supplied starter cartridge that came with my ML-1740 3 times for a total cost of $25. Recently, I bought a refilled Canon cartridge for $30 shipped (as opposed to $150 new.)

I own a 610DN... bought it for much more... I am happy with the quality and speed of printing (do not expect photo quality prints nor would you expect the copies/prints flying out at light speed) This printer is far less noisy than it's predecessor... and maintenance (toner/paper/controls is easy to access... in short, engineers listened to customer complaints (rather unusual phenomenon). Had I been living near Frys I would have bought one just for parts and the toner (toner is 80 -100 a cartridge and you need a set of four). I think at $160 it is a steal.

.
I have had these printers for several years. I refill cartridges using the software/hardware hack from

http://www.dunfield.com/clp510

This allows you to reset the counter chip whenever you want to add some more toner to top up a cartridge. It works really well. Saves money head over heels compared to remanufactured toner cartridges.

OMG!!!!!

Well, its now instore pickup only. I picked one up when you could still ship it and it arrives today.

There is a similar deal at Newegg with free shipping it makes it only a little more than I paid (Plush FatCash):
At NewEgg

In reading the reviews on Newegg one commenter noted that the toner cartridges on this Samsung last much longer than standard toner cartridges. If I remember right he stated they were rated for 5,000 pages instead of the standard 2,000.

Assuming this is true (I haven't looked it up to verify it), $70 a toner cartridge is not out of the normal.

However, with the refill techniques people have been talking about in this thread to refill for $25 or so... this is a steal.

Amazing, its been out of stock all this time, but the day the price goes up to $239.99, guess what? It's back in stock!!

My Frys is always out of stock the same day that the offers start, guess I will have to start looking to see if they do this often.
