http://www.grandecom.com/explore/1495_offer.php

$14.95 a month for one year of 8Mbps internet, but you have to also sign up for their digital cable.

Offer ends 10/31/09

From the fine print.
Monthly rate of Grande Digital Cable service is $67.00 (Austin), $66.50 (San Antonio), $57.00 (San Marcos and Waco), $56.50 (Midland and Odessa), $55.00 (Corpus Christi) and $56.00 (Dallas) .

This is a much better deal than I've seen for Comcast in Houston.

Doesn't Grande only cover about 1 neighborhood per city. Don't know anyone that can get it and I know a lot of people in the greater Austin area.

I'm not sure about other places I know that in Corpus they have fairly decent coverage in the central portion of the city atleast. Obviously there are alot of places that wont be able to get service with them but if you can I think this is a pretty good deal. Also when possible I'd rather spend my money on a Texas based company to keep more of those funds in the state to help build our own economy.

I'd like to sign up but Grande is still not available in Flour Bluff or Island areas of Corpus Christi and how many years have they been here?
An inchworm can cover more area that this provider.

FWIW, Grande (the company) has been up for sale for a few years. If they find a buyer, the buyer likely won't continue these deals.

Here in their headquarters city of San Antonio, it's taking them forever to expand their footprint into more than 20% of the city. Even with the possibility that the company could be sold, I'd try them if they'd extend service to my neighborhood.
