Camera

Case

+ u get 4GB SD memory card

1-847-544-2674 Brian (is the sales person I got the camera from and this is his direct line!) good luck!

camera has been discontinued by Canon - ! - so, stock could be low! (camera is a "jewel" for years to come!)

I understand why Canon reduces the MP from 14.1 on G10 down to 10 on G11, but why the heck do they reduce the screen size as well (3" -> 2.8")
the G11 is just...weird!

thanx op. could use this underwater next time to mx.
haha, tell me about it. did you see some sample photos
taken with it? amaz0ng! mispelled on purpose ;p

now you got me going! am on the fence! debating?! underwater or married?!

btw - playing w/camera / tried w/580 and have an old and one of my favorites! 380! - little beast is an amazing performer! yes you get noise at 400 iso and up - but you can go around this by using flash, tripod or opening up - this one is addictive! WOW!!!

G10 was a decent camera if you needed something small to get raw images. But otherwise, it was way overpriced for its features. The G11, according to informal evaluations, is a much improved model, but still with problems (for some people, maybe not for you). So IMHO, the G10 is not a bargain at any price, since saving a few bucks doesn't make its inherent problems go away. I suggest waiting a month or two until the thorough reviews on the G11 come out, before making any decisions on a P&S at this price. To tell the truth, I'm seriously considering the G11, but I want to see the professional reviews first. I'm thinking it may not be worth the money.

the reason I went with G10 - don't like the flap screen and I don't like high ISO settings anyway / for me this are emergency type situations (btw - G11 is twice or more as good with high ISO noise) - in short G9,10 and 11 are little DSLRs with some limitations due to its size / the results you can achieve are worth the money! not the camera! and this one, as well as G9 and G11, are really impressive in their capabilities! good luck!

They are definitely not "little DSLR's" I just bought a G11 a couple of days ago and my Sony A200 DSLR kills it as far as speed and image quality 90% of the time. Both cameras are 10 megapixel and the same price new. As far as the op's deal with the G10 it seems like a fairly decent price with the case. Definitely wait until the S90 and G11 are reviewed until deciding to purchase them.

no - ! - they are not! but, they are closer to DSLR than to PS - with a convenience of being compact!!!

btw - had a chance to buy new G9 for ~$390 - look at G9 now !

I love my G11, altho I could consider a G10, just not at this price. The articulating screen is nice because I can flip it in so the screen is not exposed at all when it's in my pocket. The high ISO is ok, but I use it at lower ISOs most of the time. The only major complaint is that there's no ETTL flash when in manual. The other G series might've been the same, I don't know. The menu is definitely P&S style, definitely appreciate the menu of my Canon DSLRs. There's definitely a consumer feel to the powershot cameras.

no one claims it's a pro camera! - but it's a pleasure to work with!
