I think all newer (last 2-3 years) PCIe x16 graphics cards are 2.0 spec, but most will also work in 1.0 slots. I know I am running my HD4670 in an older MB that is PCIe 1.0 and it works just fine.

Don't quote me on this, but I think it will handle a VGA output and a HDMI or DVI output simultaneously.
I don't think you can use both the HDMI and the DVI ports at the same time.
If that's going to be a problem, you might want to verify the exact details with ASUS customer support before purchasing. That limitation pertains mostly to IGPs. This dedicated card won't have any issues displaying HDMI and DVI simultaneously. The only limitation would be that you can only have 2 of the 3 connections active at the same time.
