Other apparel items, fitness, vacuum and microwave also on sale.

thanks eiloo

Thanks for the heads up. Looking at the parking lot at my local Sears this weekend I'm afraid the only thing "black" will be the inside of the store when they turn off the lights permanently.

yawn.

I just checked on Sears.com and that TV is already priced at $699.

Then you can save $50 if you wait a week.

there are not black or even grey Friday prices

Just because we know that doesn't mean that Joe-Wouldn't-Know-A-Hot-Deal-If-It-Hit-Him Public has any clue. Think about all those store liquidation sales when nimrods were snatching "fantastic deals" at 10% over normal retail.

It's early...maybe Sears will get better deals.

Not too bad of a price on 302 Peice tool kit.

woot woot! Love this idea.. Black Friday deals beginning on Saturday, this is excellent.

Thanks

Wow, anything Kmart touches is doomed.

Is Sears and Kmart still in business?

I guess so..

First shot fired!!!

Sears has better prices on TVs 24/7 than best buy. I wonder why they do worse.

I got the same TV from Sears for $629 a couple of months ago. Not a good deal.

wish they had washer/dryer deals

checked my local store a couple days ago...lots of clearance stuff. they might be going out of business.

big time hoping for the washer dryer deal or something like it that had last year!!!

Sears is up to their old tricks.....raise the price, then have a sale.

Don't forget to add in the cost of a face mask, their stores always have an odd smell.

Yeah Sears sucks. I'm sick and tired of their continual "sale" and the associated spam. The only time I go to Sears is when I need a power tool and I can't afford a better brand than Craftsman.

Wally (WalMart) rules!

Welcome to the world of retail sales

i wish i had a picture for the Kenmore 3.5-cu Ft. Washer & Dryer - $499.98

Thanks...

True that. One of the best purchases we've ever made, as we took advantage of that last year. Hoping for a similar deal this year, too, on something else.

Sears BF Ad is out

like where?

In the blackfriday forum on here. There's 3 different washer/dryer sets in there, I'm debating on which one is the best deal.

I just downloaded their ad and looked at it today. I am looking for a good energy star rated washer and dryer this year too. The pair on the front cover caught my eye, but they might be too small. I am going to defiantly have to do a lot of research this year.

And as for the "black friday now" sales; this is just a scheme to get people into the stores early. What do you think they'd do if I printed out part of the leaked Black Friday ad and asked for that promotion?? hahahaha

Just heard something on the radio about this...

The Sears spokeswoman's quote went something like this: The majority of our customers wanted Black Friday prices but they didn't want to get up early or stand line.

Can someone please call Captain Obvious???

Quote:
On Nov. 7th, as part of "Black Friday Now" deals, Sears will exclusively offer a 42” Zenith Plasma TV for only $499 (reg. $649.99). Customers can pre-order this great deal as of Oct. 29 on Sears.com.

Looks like the TV will be much cheaper than OP posted, and a different brand. Can snag it today if you wish.
Story

I thought they did something similar to this last year. They would have 1 or 2 items every few days at "black friday prices". Some of the deals were pretty good (like the washers and dryers). The idea, of course, is to get you coming back to the store more often in hopes you will buy other stuff. Regardless, if you are a FW member, you already know all of these "tricks" and most likely know how to get the best price (by visiting FW more of course!)anyway.

best buy or frys does better than Sears because i got a 42 lcd Sony for $425 when they had a clearance a couple of months ago. It was 720i but still better than a LG any day. Sears prices do not compete. They don't even compete with Target sale prices and they are not even an electronics speacialty retailer.

FYI, Consumer Reports had the Kenmore 800 Series 6982 dryer as a top pick, 2nd only to the LG DLE2516. None of Kenmore's Washers made the list though. CR is real big on front-loaders. Only the GE WJRE5500G made the final cut for top-loader.

Heck, I find it even more surprising that -- by corollary of this statement -- there exists a minority that, given the option, would rather get up early and stand in line for Black Friday prices. "But, darn it, we LIKE pitching a tent on the sidewalk in front of a store right after a holiday dinner, when winter cold is looming in the air!"

If you count the 10% off with Sears card, CashBack and mail in rebate of $50, this TV will come out cheaper that $629. I bet your $629 reflected all of the above...

Which one is the better deal though? I'm thinking Samsung.
