First time, so be gentle

My watch took a dump the other day so while my wife was at Kohls she happened to look at the watches and saw this deal. My first impression was what the heck was Casio doing making a $350 watch. I punched up the specs and told her pick me up one. Here is the link to a description. Pretty cool watch so far.

This was in the Centennial Hills store in Las Vegas, so I am sure the prices will be different everywhere but it might be worth a look.

Anyway here are the specs:

* Multi-Band Atomic Timekeeping (US, Japan)
* Receives time calibration radio signals which keep the displayed time accurate
* Auto receive function (6 times per day)
* Manual receive function
* Signal: WWVB, Frequency: 60kHz US, 40/60kHz Japan
* Tough Solar Power
* 100M Water Resistant
* Full Auto LED Light with Afterglow
* Neo-brite luminous hands & markers
* Dual Time
* Daily Alarm
* Hourly Time Signal
* 1/100 second digital stopwatch
* Measuring capacity: 59'59.99"
* Measuring modes: Elapsed time, lap time, split time, 1st-2nd place times
* Auto Calendar (pre-programmed until the year 2099)
* 12/24 Hour Formats
* Accuracy: +/-20 seconds per month (with no signal calibration)
* Storage Battery CTL1616
* Battery Power Indicator
* Power Saving Function
* Approx. battery life: 5 months on full charge (without further exposure to light)
* Module 4717

Looks like $227.50 to me!

Sorry it was only B&M. My bad.

Welcome and thanks for the post justanotherusername.

OP is talking about the model

Model no. EQW700DBJ-1

not
Model no. EQW700DBJ-1A

What's the size of the watch? Is it too big for a small wrist?

I have small wrists. I pulled out 4 links and it fits fine. I can still pull out another couple of links if I had two.

small wrists and yet your wife is still buying you a nice watch -- must be quite skilled otherwise .

$197.00 on sale from $300 in Redlands,Ca Not even a $350 Casio in the display. Anyone else find these?

No joy. $195 in Upland CA and La Verne CA. I didn't copy down the model number but it was something like LIW xxxx DBJ-1. List $300; 35% off = $195. No other watches except a watch/altimeter had list prices as high as $300.
