I hunted to see if this coupon was elsewhere on the site but could not find it. So in the hopes it is not a repeat... here is a link to the form you fill out to receive a Lowe's 10% discount up to $5000 purchase.
†Coupon is not redeemable for cash, is nontransferable and cannot be used in conjunction with any other coupon or discount. Void if copied, transferred, or sold through any on-line auctions. Limit one coupon per household. Good for a single purchase of any in-stock or Special Order merchandise only up to $5,000 (Maximum discount $500). Not valid on previous sales, service or installation fees, the purchase of gift cards, or any products by Fisher & Paykel, Electrolux, John Deere or Weber.
Might want to add to the title that this is the standard 10% off moving coupon. FYI - it's been around for about 5+ years now. Other posts may have moved to the archive.

Ah Excellent suggestion. I didn't even realize I could edit like that. Sheesh. New beyond belief. I just wanted to share the coupons I know about. I only know of that Lowe's one and some GoDaddy codes that I got from a show I watch. ah well. Learning!!!! Thanks again. This is a great community.

for those that don't want to continually sign up for the moving coupons, you could also subscribe to their free Creative ideas magazine . They usually send out coupons in that too.. although it seems like it is only sent out quarterly...

HD accepts Lowe's coupons, which is great for me since Lowe's gives me a Military discount every day while HD will only do so on holidays like Veterans' Day or Memorial Day.
And if you're always going to Lowes or Home Depot for something, you can actually buy them online on eBay. They're basically the same ones that you can get at the post office, but I've noticed that the local post office doesn't have them out in the open anymore and you have to go to the counter to ask for one. Sometimes you also see 20% off coupons, but those are fakes. Home Depot has always accepted competitor coupons, but they won't take printouts which some of the coupons on eBay are. You can also get your local realtor to send you one or two through lowesrealtorbenefits.com.
So, if Home Depot does take these, can't you just make as many printouts as you want since they don't track that they've already been used like Lowes does? I ask this because I have a LOT of stuff to buy over the next month for a basement finishing job and will be making many trips into Home Depot if I can just use this over and over again.

Not so much anymore. Our local POs don't have the address change kits any longer. You have to do it online. Major bummer, completely dried up my source of free Lowes coupons. Every time I try and sign up for the email ones, I never get them.

My post office has gone the same way. I was looking for some new coupons because my current coupons expire at the end of October.

Both these things have happened to me too. I haven't tried going to the counter though.

I haven't used the coupons for a while but the last time the PO manager said they were keeping them in the office because of problems and he would get me one. Went in and came out with a coupon.

They used to, but these days YMMV. The last time I tried this the store manager said she'd accept it this time, but not again - it has to be a real coupon, not a printout.

HD accepts Lowe's coupons
Don't make blanket statements like this. It's not an official published policy to accept competitors coupons. it's totally up to the store. (most do take them but some won't - YMMV)

I actually haven't heard of a Home Depot not taking competitor coupons. It's true that they typically don't take printouts, but that depends on the store clerk, sometimes you might get lucky and they take them. You could print out a ton of copies and even save the htlm page and change the expiration date... Now it's just easier to go to the post office or get them on eBay. The packet even has a 10% off good at BestBuy.
I always just hand over the coupon and they don't ever say anything, they just punch it up. I did notice once that they put in $10 off instead of 10% so you have to make sure you get the 10%. I've always wanted them to say no and then I'd say "fine, I'll just go to lowes then" and leave the cart behind. Hasn't happened yet. HD is just more convenient for me as there's about 10 around me instead of just 3 Lowes.

Have you ever had a Lowe's coupon refused at Home Depot? I have used Lowe's coupons at five different Home Depots in three states. You're right that I can't find a policy on it at The Home Depot site, but it's enough of a "policy" as to be mentioned without the ubiquitous and somewhat annoying "YMMV".
Incidentally, I went to the nearest post office and couldn't find the mover's packet. I asked at the counter (wow, was she unfriendly!), and she had them sitting next to her on the wall. She took the time to mention, before she would hand me the envelope, that USPS encourages people to do it online now. Great, thanks for the PSA, now give me the envelope!

Go to your local Post Office and get 10% coupon from the change address form envelop.

I'd like to know how those people on eBay seem to have an unlimited number of these coupons...how are they doing it? The website likely blocks IP's after repeated requests, and even if they went through a proxy, I'm sure they validate the postal addresses before sending the coupons out...Anybody know how they do this? I could use them once every couple months...

I was wondering this myself and can only conclude that some local PO's still bundle actual coupons in their movers packs - which I think is kinda strange. According to fleebay pics the expiration dates keep advancing (unless people are photoshop'ing them). There is one seller who has over 6000 positive feedback in the last 12 months from simply selling these (lots of 10 go for > $1 each. I find the auction terms entertaining as the coupons at the PO state "not valid if sold through online auction"
DISCLOSURE: ...Void if altered, copied, transferred or sold through any online auction. Limit one coupon per household.
Disclaimer: As per eBay rules - you are not bidding on the coupons themselves. You are paying for my time to personally locate, collect, and organize the coupons.

I just went to my local Post Office yesterday and asked for the moving packet (they'r kept behing the counter) Took the Lowes coupon to HD and used it. So the packet is still available in Northern NJ.

When POs dry up with moving packets, flea bay coupons will be rare. The eBay sellers have to drive significant distances to collect these packets, and make it out with armfuls of them from the offices that actually have them in stock and accessible. Most are behind counter now, making it difficult but even then they can walk away with at least a few.

How does a fellow GI take advantage of that Military discount
Have you ever stacked that with a coupon?

Most of the ones on eBay are selling the digital copies that Lowe's sends through email...not the actual printed copies from the PO. This has been going on for about 8 years now. I'd love to know how they obtain so many digital coupons.

The Lowe's around here give a 10% Military discount every time I go, without any problems -- just ask for it and show your ID. They will NOT stack it with a 10% coupon, saying you can use one or the other (which means I use all Lowe's paper coupons at Home Depot!). I may try stacking an HD coupon ($5 off $50) with the Military discount at Lowe's -- never tried that before. Well, now that I write that, I just checked my coupon from HD (received in the mail), and it's expired. The good thing with Lowe's is when they have a deal like the in-stock cabinet sale they had a couple weeks ago (15% off in-stock cabinets), you can stack the mil discount with that. I got a 24" finished maple wall cabinet for $80.
Home Depot doesn't give the Military discount, except on certain holidays. That being said, it never hurts to ask because I was able to get 10% at Home Depot yesterday from the girl outside at the Gardening section. Most of the cashiers seem to think that the Military discount should be all the time, but the managers don't agree, apparently.

I think it's a big enough country that there's probably people that work in areas where those packets are printed and there's also a lot of mailmen out there. I do have a friend that's a mailman and he's gotten them for me in the past, now he says that even he has to ask for them and wasn't able to get me as much as last time. The packet keeps getting updated so that's why the expiration date keeps moving from June to October to February.
There's always been the packet, but in the past few years, it was a form from Lowes to go to their website and apply for the coupon. Last year they started putting actual coupons in the packet again and they're still there for now. I guess that's the sign that the recession was bad, they actually wanted lots of people to be able to use the coupon immediately. I think if you wait til February, you might be able to pick up a bunch cheap on eBay as the latest coupons expire on February 15th.
