So... How did using this to renew your domain work out?

Maybe this is obvious to those familiar with GoDaddy. But how do you use the code? The site already says 1.99 but it is with qualifying products. Won't let you proceed to cart without selecting additional services.
Also, is this price available for multiple years? and if so, how?

I too am unclear with the meaning of "$1.99 per domain". Does this refer to registration fee per year? Hosting?

Don't click through the banner/ad on the front page of GoDaddy, that's not what you want. Just search for the domain you want and then add it to your cart even if it says $10, then add your coupon code when you're checking out to drop it down to $2.

A couple caveats here:
1) privacy guard / anonymous registration is $8-9 per year IIRC if you care about that
2) SSL markup at GoDaddy is straight dishonest compared to most other domain registrars, so if you plan on selling anything on your website, then look elsewhere.

TBH I ended up going with NameCheap.com because anonymous registration is included and people here and on SD have recommended it in the past. But if you don't need SSL or privacy guard, then $2 for a domain is great.

You can buy your SSL cert from someone else and still use a domain through GoDaddy. ( I buy mine through namecheap.com / rapidSSL ).

Thanks for the great deal. Now how do I get My Domain up and running? Gotta buy a hosting service now, right?

The FatWallet Cash Back does not seem to be working (at least for me). I used it last time and its been more than 2 weeks, but I do not see the FatCash. I see from other sites though.

How exactly does this work? Is it $1.99 for the first year and then regular price after that? Or $1.99/year for the life of the domain?

In case you need to do a renewal or need more than one domain on your account, this code works for $7.49 .com, .net, and .org - new or renewal - 749a0803

This is the same as getting 30% off. Not exactly $1.99 but still a great deal. I think it does not expire until 8-31-2010.

Quite possibly I already used this in the past, but I couldn't get the $1.99 code to apply. Several hours spent searching for another site, only to be disappointed to not get it for $1.99 at the end. Grrr.

Dead Anyone have any other GoDaddy codes for $1.99 or similar?
