Available in my area but "includes display items" so might be clearance for display only. Good price if unopened.

This was my first DSLR and it is an awesome entry level camera. I did some good work with that camera. If you can get your hands on one at this price it would at best make a great back up for the above novice shooter. The link below is all photos taken by that camera.

Excellent Pictures.

it is really hard to find one. there is a display unit in City of Industry for a while at that price, but it has defects and you don't get accessories. I don't know why Fry's put that price up online and nobody can really find one at that price in store.

The macros were taken with a manual focus Vivitar Series 1 90mm 1:2.5 other than that they were all taken with either the kit glass or the Zuiko 70-300mm. Thanks for the compliments. I am still learning.

If you can get this camera at this price, buy it. Don't think, just buy it. I have the E-500 and I absolutely love it! Great battery life, excellent pictures, and easy to use.

Blazing hot deal. Wow...

If you're in the market for DSLR, run...don't walk...to Frys. You won't get a better deal at the price. Olympus entry level stuff is always quality, IMO, and they have some fantastic lenses.

Can I mount my Zuiko lenses from my old OM-1 to that camera?

alert mods

Yes but you have to get an adapter....I have a few OM lenses. You get them on e-gay (yes egay ) from China for 20 bucks double that from an American retailer if you just cant wait. Keep in mind you will have to do all focusing manually.

Thanks for the info. I have a whole collection of Zuiko's [excellent glass!]and I had to focus all of them by hand too.

Alas, none of my local Fry's have one in stock. I'd guess that others in the EVolt series have the same compatability? If so, I'll start looking for EVolt bargains.

Yeah all of the E series have the same mount type. The adapter is a great investment for the price. My Vivitar Series 1 lens is an (Minolta MD mount)one of my best lenses and is probably 30 years old. It takes better macros than the digital macros Don't get rid of those manual focus lenses just yet my friend

Great deal if you can find one in decent condition at your Fry's. The "display item" at Houston N is in miserable condition.
