Frys electronics (in stores only) has the gigabyte M61PME-S2P board with amd 550 dual core black edition for $89.99 wed and Thursday only. They also have an Hitachi 640gb hardrive for $59.99 for those who missed out on earlier deals. This board makes a good spare, but won't unlock the 2 disabled cores on the 550. This ad is for Dallas, but probably good for other locations.
If anyone is wondering why the motherboard is not showing up on Newegg via Google search - its because the OP made a typo in the name, it should be GA-M61PME-S2P. Motherboard details on Newegg
Micro ATX It's a decent find, OP. I'm looking for a full ATX tho.

bought 1 of 2 open boxes left in fountain valley in oc. cpu had a shallow scratch/gouge, and heatsink was all scratched up. Decided to still keep it if it unlocked the two extra cores, but no dice.
I totally would have made the trip for a HOT DEAL like this -

I picked up this mobo, was told its open box, but everything was sealed in original box. Work well with overclocking with f5 bios. but no luck with quad core. No hope but, is any one have luck with unlocking quad core.
Not bad for 3.5GH dual core for $89.

If you read all of the original post it is pointed out that it WON'T do anything with the other 2 cores. And to make sure - even though the original poster edited the thread they did so before you made your post.
You were told no extra cores ... what part of "no extra" did you not understand ?
