True. Let's say I buy a $100 GC at 6pm, I get $4 CB. Then I go and buy $100 of stuff @ 6pm, do I get another $4 CB?
It would make sense in most business scenarios to give the CB to people who pay with a gift certificate, since it's not really promotional credit. In California, for instance, any card with a value $10 or less can be redeemed for cash. Also, these are considered accounting liabilities until they expire (and in FL, CT they don't expire.) So it's usually in the best interest of retailers to promote purchases with Gift Cards as valuable as cash. (Plus, if we didn't get Cash Back on GC purchases, we'd tell our families we'd rather the money to get CB, true FW style)
I would assume that's why most retailers DON'T give CB on gift card purchases, so this makes me suspicious. If they don't reward double CB, then they probably aren't rewarding CB for any purchases made with a gift card. Thumbs down on that!

We'll be earning our 2%'s by the trillion. But I have a question, what am I going to do with my initial $10,000 GC to Abe's of Maine once I've made my first million?

How do you get the Cash Back buying Sears GCs? I clicked the OP link and then clicked on SHOP NOW without logging in. Next, the Sears site shows a "welcome FatWallet" banner and the mention of Cash Back. I click on it and it takes me to the main Sears site. Anyone figure this one out any further? Thanks for any help!

Just make your purchase, the FW Cash Back will be added to your account automatically. Just be sure that you are logged into FW before clicking through to Sears.

Only problem, what do you do with these giftcards. No easy way to unload AMEX giftcards...
Use that AMEX gift card to buy more gift cards that don't have fees.
if you are really baller, you could potentially buy unlimited AMEX gift cards and make lots of money. you can use AMEX to pay your bills or use them anywhere that accepts AMEX, including buying more gift cards for more CashBack.
I didn't do the math, so I will assume that they're right for this theory, re: the poster above regarding a $3000 AMEX gift resulting in 1.88% off in addition to cc points (which could be MORE Cash Back). Could we not use that $3000 AMEX gift card to purchase MORE AMEX gift cards? my math is probably wrong but if we fill in the fees amount and keep buying more AMEX with AMEX gift cards, could this be the gift that keeps on giving?

Seems like a really good deal on Container Store, they are giving you $25 for each $100 you spend, so that plus 5% CashBack plus 5% CashBack when you spend, and they have 25% off and 30% sales during the year for elfa and other items, so this could let you get stuff around 50% off!
