Under the FTC's Funeral Rule, you have every right to purchase from a third party casket provider and your funeral director will not penalize you or charge you a fee of any kind for handling. The generally the price you pay for caskets purchased from a funeral home is two to two and one half times the wholesale cost.
Costco has sold caskets for years, in some BS states, Like my home of Wisconsin, they have laws to help the funeral home business that makes caskets only available from licensed funeral directors to preserve their fat profits. Green for OP, but I'll still be burned and scattered.

It weighed 140# and was ?lost? by shipping company. You know how big that TV was, huge! Took me 60+ days to get my money back.

I like the urn prices better. what does it cost to be creamated?Cremation - $200 but you have to go through a funeral service and they can pick up the body and deliver to crematory. They charge about $800+, you won't believe this, TAX. State TAX!
Fancy caskets are a huge waste of money. It's not like you're going to be any more comfortable or decompose better or anything ridiculous like that. It's bling for your corpse that gets a few hours of use exactly once.
Get a cardboard coffin for under $150 and let your heirs do something useful with the other $850.
