Shouldn't this be in the free stuff forum? Is the flashlight worth $10 or more? I've been gone a while so don't know if the Hot Deals Policy has changed.
Still a good find.
edit: Just for reference, I posted this before the 20% coupon was added to the OP. Initially, it was a post about the flashlight only as the title implies, hence my comment.

I ordered one from Meritline.com August 3 for $2.99 with free shipping, and it arrived August 27. I've used it at random times, a few seconds at a time, and it's still extremely bright on the same three AAA batteries. The batteries didn't come with it. It seemed like the best bargain ever for such a bright flashlight. It also has a rubber grip, which is just slid onto it, and comes off too easily. But other than that it seems very solid and reliable. It seems almost the same as this one. The same size, the same 9 LEDs, the same lanyard, etc.
Those who don't want to go to Harbor Freight in person might want to check out Meritline.com to see what kind of deals they have on such flashlights now. It varies every few days.
Nice find on the 20%er. Recent e-mails have all been 15% off.
IMHO, the price is what the flashlight is worth. I've bought 2 of the red/blue 2-packs before. All failed quickly - they had a bad connection at one end or the other that made light flicker unexpectedly - then just not illuminate at all. Long story short - unreliable in my experience.
Got one of these a week ago. Seen similar one at cvs for $9.99. Nice aluminum 9 led light. Comes with batteries, so i didn't even realize it was 3 aaa batteries. Mine is right near Teds, for the free eat great lunch

my experience is just the opposite - i have had the red and blue pack for 6 months or so and they are just as reliable as my maglite flashlights (but my maggies aren't LED!) as with any product, the way you take care of it has a lot to do with its longevity, and there is also the "luck of the draw" where there will inevitably be a few bad apples in the bunch!
for FREE, this is an awesome deal - but I'm concerned like others where this came from and if the T&C on the coupon say no printouts, how is this valid? (yeah yeah, it's YMMV, and will depend solely on your cashier) I searched their website and didn't find anything but I think I'll give it a shot, I can always use a free flashlight and one with batteries is even better!
These coupons (Flashlight, 20% off single item and a few others) came out in the USA Today Sunday paper insert last week. (like Parade that some cities get, others get a USA Today insert)

HF can be pretty lenient depending on the cashier. I've had them use 20% off entire purchase coupon on items that were bought with their own respective coupons....
I love this little flashlight. Amazingly, sometimes something made cheaply actually works well! They were $2.99 for 2 at one point in the store on sale.
Contrast this with two CREE Firelights I got from GoldenGadgets.com that don't work for sh!t. They turn on, then as soon as you point them at something, they flicker off, then on, then off, over and over. Wonderful materials, decent build quality, but crappy design.
