Even though it is advertised as Dual Channel for Intel Core i5 & i7 CPU & P55 chipset it should work fine with AMD motherboards and CPU (Confirmed by OCZ tech help)
Before buying this RAM, if you're a novice at building computers or upgrading RAM, think twice. You will be lucky if you get DDR3-1600 to work with this RAM on your first try... this coming from experience. It takes tweaking and understanding to get some of these budget OCZ sets to work right. I had trouble with the 6GB kit of OCZ Obsidian 1600 on an i7 system. In the end, I had to settle for 1333mhz (tighter timings) as it would just not run 1600mhz. I even used the specs that an OCZ rep had posted on their forums. I was able to run 1T @ 1333mhz running 7-7-7 timings, but although it passed OCCT and Linpack stress tests, it eventually BSODed... so I settle for 2T command rate. It was still worth the $$ I paid for the set I used (it was for a client), but the headache wasn't worth it.
Please, if you're buying this set, have some patience with it and if you have trouble, don't draw conclusions without reading up. If it works out of the box for you, consider yourself lucky (No offense OCZ)... though I couldn't tell you if it's OCZ's fault or the fact that DDR3-1600 isn't the easiest on many motherboards.
I purchased this Monday. It came in yesterday, and after setting the correct voltage and speed in my motherboard, it's running as advertised. Great price, and it works well.

If you don't mind, what motherboard are you using? Thanks in advance.
i got a 3 pack of these the other day for $80 after rebate from Newegg. 2 of the 3 sticks work at 1066. The third one is not seen by the system no matter what I do and I have had no responses on the OCZ forum
These refuse to run stably at 667 or 800 MHz. Tried all sorts of voltages & timings to no avail. I have an Athlon X2 550 on an Asrock board. Something odd I noticed is that the OCZ Obsidian's SPD settings only go up to 620 MHz (or some weird # less than 667) as reported by CPU-Z.
Picked up a pair of Patriot DDR3's @ Fry's which run completely stable @ 800. At least I know the motherboard runs fine with good DDR3-1600 memory.
