It's a closeout deal on older stuff. Fry's sometimes does this, but they give you the motherboard for free. I stopped by my local frys today; they had a sempron with board for $39.99 without a rebate, and a 435 tri core with gigabyte board for $59.99 after $10 rebate, so I went for the 435 deal. I had called days earlier and one frys salesperson told me the deal was doa, explaining it could have a misprint on the ad and they had no 435 cpus in stock. But today I noticed other posts saying other frys were honoring the deal, so I asked and today they got in some more boards and cpus. I may be able to sell the cpu separately and keep the board for free; haven't decided if I want to use the cpu yet. I've been spoiled by frys for years. They are still the best for combo cpu and board deals.
