Long time lurker, first new deal post so go easy!

Riding the MBTA this morning I saw ZipCar ads offering a $75 driving credit for new customers who signup with the promotion code MBTAMOBILE

Not sure if this is Boston specific or not but this is the best new customer offer I have been able to find. You can also send an SMS to 30364 with the message MBTA2009. Supposedly they will send you more coupon codes from time to time

I confirmed with CS that this credit cannot be used to offset the annual fee or application fee.

Happy driving!

You can generally get a driving credit (usually $25, sometimes more) at one of the green commuter sites. Try http://zipcarcoupon.greencommuter.info/. They post zipcar coupon. The associated Zipcar promotional code gives you a discount when you sign up with Zipcar.com.

I just went thru the tutorial and seems like an awesome deal a little hard on the pocket for the first time but after that is pretty cheap

be wary about their all in one insurance coverage, they only cover the bare minimum allowed for the state it resides.

I really can't see how they make much money on this, free gas + 180 miles, $8.00 dollars an hour

In that circumstance it might not make sense, but zipcars are centralized in cities, where most people are driving under 10 miles in their rental hour.
