At Harbor Freight

Even a 3/4 HP available...

Let the (perverted joke) games begin

Love the description. Ladies will be excited

What the...

what r the choices of color? how long the battery would last?

Right, was wondering if it was for concrete or made of concrete

What kind of protection do you need while using this?

Not a hot deal. Regular price. Desperate attempt at juvenile humor. Not needed on a hot deals site.

Gives new meaning to the phrase "pound the pavement"

how did you find this? what were you searching for? lol

A couple of years back, the front page at Amazon, in the section where it recommends things based on your prior purchases, it included one of these. To this day, I have no idea why, as I hadn't bought anything that would related to either sidewalk construction or, uh, personal/partner satisfaction. Did get a good laugh out of it though.

I love the joke, but no merchant and price in title deserves red. Otherwise, very humorous.

What is this thing for anyways?

I *believe* it's to try to get air bubbles out of wet concrete so that it doesn't lose strength from air pockets as it cures.

nice, perfect coffee mixer!

Exactly my question too. It definitely LOOKS like a high powered "toy".

after all this years! wish someone explained it earlier!

love when folks give red and have no clue - what for!

green for a good laugh!

I don't get it.

man that thread title is a killer

Guess that does qualify as a power "tool".

Just be glad you don't work in a structural engineering office. It's one of the few places you can talk about erections and never see a raised eyebrow. "That's what she said" has to be saved for really special moments, as it applies way to often to remain funny for long in my office.

WIKI said: Concrete vibrators are used to consolidate fresh concrete so that entrapped air and excess water are released and the concrete settles firmly in place in the formwork. Improper consolidation of concrete can cause product defects, compromise the concrete strength, and produce surface blemishes such as bug holes and honeycombing. An internal concrete vibrator is a steel cylinder about the size of the handle of a baseball bat, with a hose or electrical cord attached to one end. The vibrator head is immersed in the wet concrete.

see this video to know what this is for - Concrete Vibrators Very interesting and I had no clue before now...and would not have if I had laughed and moved on...

Just what we're looking for

I've been eyeing the 6.5hp briggs and stratton vibrator at Harbor Freight for a while now.

Oddly enough I found myself in the market for a concrete vibrator a couple of weeks ago. I can't say for sure, but I think this item description is a bit misleading. I think this is ONLY the extra-long shaft, not the entire unit (there are no specs given for a motor, power requirements, etc). This would be used with the 3/4 HP one for $99.99, but cannot be used separately...

FWIW, this thing is pretty loud, so if you're using it for something other than construction work I recommend you live in single family housing

I didn't even click the link. OP gets green just for the title.

I would buy quality because half way through this thing will stop working

Oh man, just look at that thing.

good point. wouldnt want that thing to get stuck half way thru the job

Did you receive student discount to pound the pavement?

DaveWB said: I would buy quality because half way through this thing will stop working

Agreed. I work for a company that makes this type of equipment; ours are a lot more expensive, but they last practically forever..

i only clicked on this thread b/c of the title.

wow 40" long!

The price is good also, 69.69

lilstabber said: The price is good also, 69.69

Except the price is $69.99.

Ow, that explains. Then I might be in for one. If it was for what I (most of us) thought it was then I would not be wanting one!
Green for the OP.

Correct, link in OP is just for the 40" shaft.
This is the link for the vibrator unit which comes with a 21" shaft.
Evidently size does matter.
