saw a tv commercial for IHOP: said if you buy a $25 gift card, will get coupon for $5 off your next visit, although I don't see any mention of it on their website. Maybe B&M only.

I would think you could do any amount if you go into the restaurant, not on their website. But I am not positive. Just saying what I heard on a tv commercial. I would think anything $25 and over would get you the coupon, tell them you saw it on tv. If they don't have a coupon, then they lose a $25 sale, simple as that.
