I'm in. No idea if I need this, but it has 'Home Theater' and 'Power' in the title, plus it's the lowest price it's been according to frozenwarrior.

Thx, OP!

in for 2. almost half the price of Newegg let alone other competitors.

Would there be a need for 2 in a typical home theater? I will buy another one if so (will be starting construction this Winter).

These only have two outlets on it, so depending on the type of home theater system you have there could be a use for more than 1 of these.

Just keep in mind that if you purchase two of these they must go into different receptacle. NEC code states only 1 power strip is allowed per receptacle (2 plug-ins). So, make sure to plan your electrical accordingly - since you would already be chewing up 2 entire receptacles for this or a maximum of 6 devices on a dual gang box. Obviously, daisy chaining power strips is not allowed.

OP. Thanks! I was in the market for a surge suppressing receptacle to replace the existing unit. But, they cost about the same price as this guy, but I'm a little concerned that space will be an issue. I'm taking a chance in hopes that it fits behind the TV considering they are selling it as behind the TV units.

Dead. $69.71 now.

Who's going to come to your home and know what you plug into each outlet? Besides they sell plenty of Surge protectors that have multiple outlets if necessary.
