Anyone with reviews/ personal experience on the seller ? I am in the market for the 52" XBR9. Currently at ~1850 on Amazon. Wouldn't mind this price, especially for the free home theater system (which I need anyway and was putting off for next year). Epinions has some reviews but it is a mixed bag. They apparently do not accept AMEX (being on the East Coast - that raises a red flag to me).Or am I just being a paranoid ? Thanks Shoubhanik

They generally are seen as a reliable retailer, and they are a Sony authorized dealer so there shouldn't be any problems.
I bought 2 tvs from them with no problem. Even a huge 72 inch tv. They were quick to ship it too

I dont see them listed on Sony's website as being an Authorized Retailer. ???
I've bought a whole lot of things from us-appliance (lol, every appliance in my house) and have never had a problem with them. Customer service was decent to answer my questions as well. I think the lead time to get your product might not be the fastest but other than that they are fine.
Actually, Amazon has the best deal.. LINK.. its a bit different though, instead of the home theater, its the soundbar + blue ray ... wish it was the latest soundbar Sony HT-CT500 instead of the one in the deal, but still not that bad.

On 11/06/09 I bought KDL46XBR9 + Sony Sound Bar HT-CT100 + Sony Blue Ray BDP-S560, all for $1548 from Amazon with no tax and free shipping to Texas. I think it's a good deal.
how was it so low - i believe the price never went below the$1714 threshold?

It could be some special last Friday when I ordered. Not sure what other info I can give you from my order. I did not enter any promotion code. Amazon site mentioned that when I select "Proceed to Checkout" (last screen where you confirm order) I will see all the applicable discounts. That's exactly what happened.

Last Friday, Amazon had this KDL46XBR9 for $1,387.87. When ordering this TV, they'll include Sony HTCT100 sound bar w/subwoofer + Sony BDP-S560 free. No coupon code or rebate is needed. Added everything to the cart and promotion discounts were automatically applied.
By the way, here is a post nhenny2005 on Nov. 6th, but it was locked due to similar post as this deal. Here is the link to the post with lower prices last Friday.
52" XBR9 TV + Blu-ray Disc Player BDP-S560 + Sound Bar HT-CT100 for $1,794.95 (on Nov. 6th by nhenny2005) 46" XBR9 TV + Blu-ray Disc Player BDP-S560 + Sound Bar HT-CT100 for $1,387.87 (on Nov. 6th by nhenny2005) 40" XBR9 TV + Blu-ray Disc Player BDP-S560 + Sound Bar HT-CT100 for $1,267.95 (on Nov. 6th by nhenny2005)
