Not sure about this. I'd hate to get bamboo stuck under my fingernails.

Don't worry about it, if it weren't for the label you'd never know it was bamboo instead of cotton.

I bought a few sets of bamboo sheets a while back when on clearance at Target and really love them. I would never go back to cotton if I could help it. They are very soft and good for the environment!

Do they fade after washing?

These are the jersey sheets, not the regular bamboo sheets. These are the ones that feel more like a really soft t-shirt. Still love them though.

I was intrigued by the idea of a fabric made from bamboo fibers, but these are made from 60% Rayon (made from bamboo!) and 40% cotton.

1. Its only 60% bamboo or Rayon. Still 40% cotton. Is cotton not environmentally friendly? Gotta love marketing.

Taking fiber from cellulose is quite difficult, and often requires nasty solvents...trust me, my research group works in this area...

They are only slightly better for the environment, assuming that the process to make rayon fibers is equal energy/CO2 wise to the cotton fiber making process.

is cotton bad for the environment?
