I was shopping online to renew my membership and I found it cheapest on Amazon, free shipping and no tax for me. Cheaper than eBay.

Nice price, but this can be found for a little cheaper on eBay with Bing CB (save around $2, costs $38 after Bing). Nice find for those who don't want to deal with Bing, even though they usually credit you immediately on eBay purchases.

Isn't this the standard price on Amazon? It's been $39 for at least the last couple of weeks.

I have to say that shipping an XBOX code on a card is possibly the most wasteful use of resources ever. I wish MS would allow vendors to have a bank of codes that get shared via email.

Move along folks nothing to see here. Same price that it always is.

Didn't know it was standard price. I saw the $49 with slash to $39 so I thought it was on sale.

Can anyone point me to a hotter deal than this for a year? I got so much red, i am assuming there are much better deals.

"hotter deal" ?
I think what everyone is telling you is that it isn't a HOT deal at all.
They also mentioned that it's always $39.99 at Amazon.

They do: Link. Except for whatever stupid reason, they're more expensive. They sell xbl point code, as well as downloadable contents codes too!

Yes, actually, earlier in the year pretty much each major vendor (Amazon, Best Buy, toys r us, Target, Sears, etc.) for one week each, staggered, sold the 12+1 month card for $30. I stocked up and bought 2 years worth at that time. And yeah, $40 is the standard price at Amazon; it fluctuates a little, but it's been like this for over a year now. Same with Newegg. This is not hot at all.

Dude, just check Newegg or something.

megamands said:ok, its not a hot deal. but can you link me to a better price than this? direct link I don't really understand this logic. Supposing it is the cheapest price out there, if it's that price all the time (and mentioned on FW several times already), what's the point of posting it? That's like if I posted a link to an iPod at regular price and dared anyone to provide a link to a cheaper price.

lol ok dude, it's $39.99 at Newegg as well. I don't feel like checking everyone else!

Maybe you should create an xbox live deals post for everyone to post the deals there?

i'm not upset about the red or me finding the cheapest price, I just want to make sure I get the best price before I renew it. It's been almost a year since I last bought live, so I just want to make sure $40 is the cheapest for a year.
