You will be contacted in 7 to 14 days from the time the item is shipped to schedule a delivery appointment.
For JCPenney store delivery, most orders are ready for pick up in 4 to 7 business days.

Then you should read first before ordering.

Isn't it ironic, don't you think?
Ironic that there will be no shipping charge and you'll have to wait until talking to the store to figure out delivery of the item? I don't think that's very ironic at all.

Ironic would be renting a truck and then crashing on the way to the store!

Then why is there an option to ship to my house Mr. Encyclopedia?

What's ironic is that jsehlms is telling me to read before ordering but he's not reading anything. How is being contacted 7-14 days after shipping to schedule a delivery appt the same as, or even remotely close to, information regarding a shipping charge?

I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were new to ordering large items over the internet. When a site says you will be contacted within 7-14 days to discuss delivery, that means you will not be charged a shipping fee during checkout. They will need to contact you to verify all delivery information, at which time, you will be told of all delivery options, and you will be able to negotiate a contract for delivery. What you see on the web page is a sale of an item for a price, not including delivery charges. If after going through the checkout process, they do not list a shipping charge, free or not, you will ultimately have to determine the shipping charges later. This is common practice with large items which are either shipped to store, or sent via freight; freight items have their own requirements, which the company will discuss with you prior to delivering to your house.

I've ordered plenty of large items on the interwebs and always had the shipping costs shown to me BEFORE I finalized the purchase. Who would ever buy anything without knowing the shipping cost first?!? What if they call up after you paid for the pool table and said they only offer white glove delivery for $300?

Then you tell them you want to cancel your order as the price is not what you'd like to pay for shipping.

All that note means is that they will contact you to make sure you are home, as they will deliver by truck. It has nothing to do with price. No one would order in that case, as was said.

Given the fact that the original price was only $599 it seems VERY unlikely to be slate.
If you want a table just search CL or your local ads if you have the friends to help or even some simple hourly company to work with. Lots of unloved tables out there people just want gone.
Vetterin said: The fact that they don't mention the weight or that it has a slate bed (big selling point) leaves me skeptical.
