This seems like a LOT of work when you can just preorder it at Amazon.com and get a $20 gaming credit, and not pay shipping or tax. In fact I had preordered Uncharted 2 and Fallout 3 GOTY and found out about the $40 gaming credit after the fact. Called Amazon up and I asked for it and they GAVE it to me. So I got $5 gaming credit for preordering Uncharted 2, then I got the $40 gaming credit, and I still had an ECA discount code.
So in the end I got MW2 for $8.99 preordered at Amazon. AND they are giving me a $20 gaming credit for getting it. Amazon FTW!
Does Amazon get it to your door the day it's released (or shortly after). I have thought about the $20 Amazon thing but didn't know how fast they would ship it.
WalMart is also doing $20 gc, if you HAVE to get it on release day. I'm going with Amazon to save on tax... and because I don't like WalMart. Link

Yes, if you have Amazon Prime OR you pay like $5 or something for release day delivery. Otherwise, it'll probably take a week or so if you just go with the FSSS.

Every time I've ordered for release date delivery through Amazon I have received it on the day of release.

thats a good deal - but if you missed it - at least this thread will generate other deals - wasn't aware of the WalMart one - usually microcenter has gotten into the act as well but haven't heard anything
I think I still posted the best brick and mortar deal if you wanted to go that route and didn't want to pre order $80+ in other games

if you don't have Amazon prime, be prepared to wait several weeks possibly. my halodst, preordered 2 months ahead of time, wasn't even shipped one week AFTER launch. i called and they just said that's how sss works, sometimes they have to wait for a truck to get sent across the country or something. who knows? i canceled the order (keeping my sgt johnson code and went to my local best buy.
